I’ve probably seen much more of Coleman than Lampard over the last 3 years tbf.
Lampard is one, every manager before him have chosen to trust Coleman to get the job done. The guy must surely have something in him, that lets every manager trust him.

Just let him be, and hope that the club finds a way to let him ease out with grace.

And yes, this does not mean he gets a free pass at every mistake that he makes. Curse him, shout at him, but know that he is trying the best he can. Don't let that turn into blind hate as seems to be the case with some (in case you ask me to name names: can't be arsed to go back and name names, not even pin pointing any one specific poster, just a feel of some of the posts) in this topic.

I disagree. If Pickford didnt miss the ball, noone would look at that pass twice. It was a very normal pass to the keeper to get the ball out of our own area under pressure.
It was passed back into the danger zone with both Pickford and an attacking player equally well placed to get the ball. It was a needlessly careless pass and should not have been made.

Roy mate, have you never made a mistake on the pitch? Seamus has done a heck of a lot more good things for this club than the errors that are being jumped on.

Just don't think there is anything to discuss regarding Coleman anymore, he's past it and it needs addressing once and for all in the summer. If we can get some breathing space. Patterson needs to start getting game time, if he isn't good enough or needs experience, he needs to go out on loan and someone else should be brought in, as we cannot continue with a 33 year old at right back, regardless of what sentiment wants

Him being in the team is not at all about sentiment. He is there on merit, as seen by the real-life on-the-ground managers and not by armchair-experts like you and me.

He is not the same as he was few years back is well known to everyone and his/her uncle, the sentiment creeps in when people start abusing a player who has given his all and is trying deal with a rotten situation not of his doing without cribbing about it. It's the club that deserves the abuse, if at all.

He does not kneecap upcoming RBs, neither does he control the incoming recruitment process to stop any potential RBs coming.

I do agree with you on one point though. We don't NEED to talk about Coleman anymore. He is doing the job the best he can, it's upto the club and recruitment team to sort out the mess of their own creation and spare Coleman the fan abuse.

Seamus is going nowhere. He's club captain. He IS Everton. Sniff that.
Contract for life. He'll be on the coaching staff when he retires in 2037, and Kenwright, who will be about 104 at the time, will make sure he's some kind of Irish Ambassador for Everton as well.

That's exactly what I am saying, he needs replacing and it should be addressed in the summer, he will continue his role until then

If you'd ever seen me play, you'd know the answer to your question. I made many many mistakes on the pitch mate, but aside from being tall and quick I was very average.

Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of Seamus I just feel that he has been hung out to dry by the club. He has quite obviously not been good enough for a first team berth week in and out for some time, but, if the club don't make the decision for him, he will not, because of his pride, accept that he is no longer up to it.

I still think he is a valuable squad member, but, he should no longer be first choice.

I hope that clarifies my position for you, I love Shay, but, his time is past.

Like to see a state that shows over the last three years or so how easy it is for opposition to play down the right compared to the left.
Bet Coleman's side beats Digne's

Yep. More than enough time to form the basis of a decision to spend £millions on.
He's been getting plaudits from elsewhere - and I trust my own judgment on a FB.

He's much more balanced between defence and attack than Patterson.
