We already have lost Godfrey who can cover full back. You need a squad for playing twice a week. I hope we end up with very few issues, but who knows what sort of injuries we will pick up.

My point is that FBs have to be able to defend. I watched him for rangers and Scotland and he's a poor defender. That's what they are seeing in training here at Everton.

You've written him off before his debut when he is 20 years old. I don't need to say anything more.

Still and always will love Coleman, has shown more passion for Everton, in his little finger, than most that have come in and out over the past 5/6 years.

He knows that 99.9% of the fanbase respect him and support him, he is the kind of person that knows that he is not the best anymore but he can still give a lot to this team and club.

He's a player who links up with team mates very well and keeps shape. He knows the ropes, and until such a point where the Everton coaching team believe Patterson wont be a liability he or Kenny should remain in the team.

We could see him getting loaned out this summer.

That's what Im saying. Look at Coleman's career path: first team regular eventually then out to Blackpool to get battle hardened.

Personally, im not Irish, but the disrespect he gets on here is comical, hes not the same Seamus he was, hes 33 years old, so cant get up and down like he used to, but he never lets us down.

The manager sees and knows more about the players than you and me. If the manager thinks Coleman can get the job done who are you and I to counter that? If he is such a useless waste of space as some are calling, then surely the manager would see that, yeah.....

I’ve probably seen much more of Coleman than Lampard over the last 3 years tbf.
