Yeah I get that, but, the better way to have kept the ball alive in this case would have been to turn and play it forwards. No matter if you are playing a possession based game or not, you should not play a ball in between your keeper and an opposition player in the penalty area, we got away with it on Saturday, there have Ben occasions this season when we have not.Yeah like I say i'm not arguing it wasn't a poor executed pass i'm just saying playing passes like that is a normal point of the game now for teams who aren't still stuck in the dark ages like we have been for the last few years. There will definitely be teething problems as players get used to being asked to keep the ball alive etc, if the worst it gets is situations like that one then we'll have handled it pretty well.
Right back at you shoooovanti deuxWe get it, he’s Irish.
Ask his mate Tommy-RoWhat is your implication here?
The implication is that he gets favourable comments from the Irish lads. What is your implication here?

Like I said, there's going to be teething problems. The players have gone from being told to launch it to being told to keep it alive and beat the press. They are undoubtedly going to make some questionable decisions while they get used to playing that way, because it's a massive change. There were a number of passes by different people that had me panicking on saturday but the hope is that both the decision making and the execution will improve over time.Yeah I get that, but, the better way to have kept the ball alive in this case would have been to turn and play it forwards. Playing out from the back is great, but, it should not be the only option, if you feel the only pass you have on is to your keeper, who is not on his own in the area, then either turn and go forwards or hit it long.
Let's hope so.Like I said, there's going to be teething problems. The players have gone from being told to launch it to being told to keep it alive and beat the press. As I posted earlier he got 7/10 rating on most sites despite one bad pass. Others were well below that. The implication is that he gets favourable comments from the Irish lads.
Personally, im not Irish, but the disrespect he gets on here is comical, hes not the same Seamus he was, hes 33 years old, so cant get up and down like he used to, but he never lets us down.
They should go and support Liverpool. A club more in tune with their *mindset*.As I posted earlier he got 7/10 rating on most sites despite one bad pass. Others were well below that.
I just despise the hatred from the same posters time and again. When he gets a MOTM they go into hiding.
I suspect some darker reason for the abuse he gets.

Seamus is going nowhere. He's club captain. He IS Everton. Sniff that.
Yes, that's right. If we'd signed that lad Spence from Forest rather than a no mark sub from an ale house league I'd be all for Seamus being benched. There is all that Dave but you know as well as I that he should now be taking more of a back seat.
