Kept in the fight and lasted , but how long can he keep it up?

8 games until Man. United so don't see that being an issue.

Back to back aways at Spurs and Newcastle with Newcastle being midweek going to be an issue though. Perhaps Lampard will think of something out of the box with one of the wide players playing there or going back to 5-3-2 as can't say I'm optimistic on Coleman v likes of Son and Saint Maximn despite him doing fine today.

I shall be raising a glass in honour of Sir Seamus in 10 days time for his 34th birthday.

A class act.

I know you want him in the bin but what should Lampard be doing in this situation? There is no Godfrey or Holgate to stick in there for one game and I wouldn't fancy a young lad to play v Son. Perhaps they'll smash it but Son could easily do what he did v Leicester and then that player is damaged for a bit.

Ah right, guess I've got you mixed up with the 234 posters on here who slag him off whenever he gets on the pitch!

He's obviously not as good as he used to be even 2-3 years back but he's not a complete disaster any time he's on the pitch and he showed it today.

Can only imagine the abuse if he'd passed like that for Southampton's goal like Gana did under no pressure.
