2024/25 Seamus Coleman

"Handy ball" my late father used to call it.

And don't even get me started on the poxy Rugby.

My village in Ireland, Lucan, has always been a football village, thank Jayzuz for that.

Typing this from St James in Antigua 🇦🇬 - close to my Antiguan village of football - Parham.

Which one is me?

Back row, 3rd from the left??

Don't mind that 'handy ball'. Hurling is the real game

Thanks skipper.

Can't believe this latest serious international game injury STILL hasn't convinced him to hang up his boots for Ireland.

March 2017, broken leg vs Wales, missed 10 months.

September 2018, stress fracture in foot, missed 8 games.

The latest one will have put him out for over a month, likely substantially longer with no return date given.

There are more, minor, injuries where he missed the odd game after international fixtures.

They get at best a relegation playoff place from the group. Why on earth is he still damaging Everton by insisting on appearing in meaningless games for Ireland?

Just look at his overall injury history:

I put a lot of this on Everton too though because surely you'd be telling a player if you want yet another new contract you need to knock this Ireland stuff on the head as you've simply missed too isn't many Everton games through injuries received in international games.
