2024/25 Seamus Coleman

you see this is the thing. It's not because I'm Irish
I had no time for McGeady or Darren Gibson,
I thougth James McCarthy was unlucky with injuries but wasn't overly bothered about him.
I really liked Kilbane but not bothered when he left.
So no, it's not an Irish thing,
In fact your pinning it on my accent and your griping about everton and celtic fans kinda points to the accent being a 'you' problem

Frank lampard extolled the virtues of Seamus Coleman and his importance in keeping the club in the PL. That saved the club tens of millions.
He's the club captain, cost 60k and has never put a foot out of line
but you dont like him because he takes a wage or is selected by managers or still wants to captain his country.

You're pissed off because you want more from a man whos given everything for Everton.

It's mad to me because all your other takes are reasonable.
I dont get it.
Seamus has been holding things together in the dressing room and been doing team talk in dressing room to keep everyone together. A top bloke with Everton's best interest at heart.

Because he's been injured non-stop for years.

Like geniunely do you think he still serves a playing purpose at Everton? Honest question.
Right now, yeah. The only other right back is Patterson. With a 39 year old LB keeping him out.
Of all the problems Everton have, paying Coleman to be there isnt high on my list of concerns.
Like I say, more than most, he's earned his spot in the squad.

But he's never fit, so why is your answer yes? Like legit what does he bring to our playing team.
