Seamus Coleman

Just from Saturday, watch them be Harvey Dents and say " I've always backed him "

He gone backwards and now is becoming a liability

he is absolutely woeful. One of the worst players in the league currently

I've been a staunch defender of Coleman for months, but I'm afraid he just isn't good enough.

I'd advocate flogging him to United and developing Holgate into our first-choice RB.

Will play Holgate. Better physically and can defend better.

Coleman and Baines are rapidly declining. They are now targets for most teams to pressurise.

Needs replacing, days like today make you wish we had cashed in when Moyes wanted to take him and Baines to United.

Downhill ever since for both.

Or Martinez telling him to get forward...

Equally inept in both departments.

Holgate is far superior.

Hope Koeman is going to get a new full back in Jan or bring a kid in. Coleman is wasteful, never wins a tackle, crossing is pathetic.

That was his best performance by a mile for about a year. He's been crap this season, last season and probably the season before that

Tonight, he wanted it and he wanted it like his Everton career was on the line. Do it again next week against the RS Seamus and find that level of performance we all know you can do week in week out.

He was on the list.

This list?

How Davies and Holgate especially aren't even close to starting is embarrassing

Davies and holgate in the side next week please

I've defended Coleman but today shows its Holgate

Players are awful.

I think for the next game we need to see Holgate, Barkley, Lennon and Valencia start. Davies to come on from the bench at least.

That's true, to an extent.

But it's simple things that still could be done that he isn't doing.

A) 4-4-2 - we actually look half-decent

B) inject some energy into the side by introducing our two standout youth talents - Holgate and Davies. Holgate needs to be in the side, and Davies at least in the squad.

It's simple. And he's not doing it.

I genuinely cannot fathom how he is helping himself by continuing with Coleman instead of Holgate, and an even more glaring choice, it must be crushing to the likes of Davies to be left aside while he proceeds to pick proven failures like McCarthy ahead of them.

I feel there are some merits for suggesting Holgate instead of Coleman and Davies instead of McCarthy currently, even if it was just the one change, it does need freshening up and some fear put up the current first-teamers who are quite clearly feeling over-comfortable.

Valencia up front, Davies in midfield, Holgate right back.

4-4-2
