Seamus Coleman

I hate international football. Should only ever be played in the off season.

Our players always get injured, or their injuries come back worse.

Still can't get my head around what the hell taylor was doing,Absolutely gutted for Coleman,Taylor should be banned for life.

I was in the stand just above where it happened and from that angle you didn't see the leg give way as you can from pitch level. Then the medics ran onto the pitch and immediately it became obvious it was really serious.

Wales seemed to be on a mission to kick us off the park after h/t so Chris Coleman has to take some responsibility for this.

Devastated. For Seamus, for Everton, and for Ireland.

Most of all for him though. If anyone didn't deserve that it was Seamus Coleman. Just hope we see him play professional football again. Given the strength of character of the man I think we will.

I'm English, so I only 'support' Ireland or Wales when we have someone playing for them.
So, as a neutral observer, the major talking points were -
Joe Allen wasn't elbowed, although he tried to make it look that way.
Gareth Bale was late and over the top, studs first, in his challenge and should've been sent off.
Taylor was also late with studs showing and over the top. Nasty challenge and I just hope Seamus recovers from it.
"He's not that type of player", response doesn't really cut it! Sometimes, people should just acknowledge that it was wrong!

Absolutely hate this happening to ANY player, but especially feel it when a player like Seamus suffers this way. His speed and ball control is up there with the best. I really, really hope and pray he recovers as fast as possible and comes back unshaken by all this. So many players seem to struggle to get their form back after such things. So, please, don't let Seamus be one of them!
You can do it, Seamus, lad!

Christ, horrible to see that happen to any player, let alone one of our own :(

If any positive is to come from this, maybe one of our youngsters (Holgate/Jonjoe Kenny etc.) can use this opportunity to show they can make the step up on a regular basis.

Get well soon Seamus!!!!!

So this means we basically have to buy replacement or cover if someone current player will fill the void. Euro games next season and all...big blow but life is life...you get some...and youre gonna get lose some.
Get well soon Seamus. Strenght.

I know what you mean ArtetaMoney, I've seen plenty of people break limbs on the internet and have never thought anything further. Seeing it happen to someone you know (well not personally but ya know what I mean :P) is absolutely gut wrenching, just devastated.

I was watching the video of him playing with the down syndrome lads just before the game, and thinking what an A+ lad Coleman is.

Just woke up in Jo'burg to a text off the Mrs about Seamus. Absolutely devastated for the lad...my favourite player and an absolute top drawer, down-to-earth pro.
If there is a positive to be taken it's that he has great character and is as hard as nails so if anyone is going to make a proper recovery then it's him. What a terrible accident for the lad.
