Seamus Coleman

What do I think? It was a [Poor language removed] house tackle, over the top with a follow through that broke Seamus' leg. It could end his career. Not sure, need to hear what the surgeon says.

Coleman a player who has had more than his fair share of injuries has come across as a cretin tonight and an embarrassment.

I understand Seamus is in hospital in Dublin undergoing pain relief - x rays are taking place - it'll take a skilled surgeon in conjunction with the family and the club on next course of action. The Welsh can wait - damage has been done - my thoughts are with Coleman and his family. That ok?

Of course it's ok pal, it's very commendable - everyone's thoughts are with Seamus and his family - but that's not the question I asked. I asked if you think it's Taylor's fault or not.

Absolutely gutted for Coleman who would be my choice for captain. His form over the last few months has been excellent, back to his best after last season. All we can hope for now is a speedy & full recovery.

It's pretty freaking bad. Once you get past a certain level of severity then comparisons become almost meaningless.

That could easily have been his last game, even if he comes back he'll probably have lost a lot of his pace.

Just so angry with Taylor, i know this sort of thing happens but it was a proper ship house tackle.

It was a terrible challenge. To make it worse him and ledley seemed to be finding it funny. Hope both of them get a severe injury and see how amusing it really is. Coleman is one of the most honest players about in the modern game and doesn't deserve a challenge like that. It's a complete cowards tackle.

It should have been a red card regardless. People are up and arms last weekend over Huddlestone getting sent off when the reason he was is so tackles where the player goes above the ball are cut out of the game and people don't get legs snapped like Seamus
I'm not saying it shouldnt have been a red mate, i agree with that whole-heartedly, but people on here last night hoping he dies, and saying Williams should never play for us again ffs! So yes it was a re card all day, and yes he should get a substantial ban, but should he be beaten up or die for it, no, should Williams be hounded out for it, no! That is all i was saying. The way some blues were treating other blues kn ehre last night was utterly disgraceful imo, and i am 100% certain that if he read them, Seamus himself would have told them all to pipe down!

Unbelievable ...shocking luck for Seamus and for us.
Let's hope this isnt career ending... he will be a huge miss on the pitch and the dressing room.
Not seen any pictures or videos, Gunna give that a big miss..Was out last night so missed the match ive just woke up to hear about it, Dreadful luck for the lad. Has anyone heard if he's ok ? Regardless, I'm sure the club will support his rehabilitation and give him all the time he needs to get better. I just hope its not career ending as some on here have alluded to. Poor Seamus....gutted.

ah...ok. You might think shock is a body's reaction to something too horrible to be compos mentis about...I guess it's about managing the shock vs pain equilibrium

Yes at that point (a sportsperson suddenly have the use of a leg taken away), while there's loads of science about red blood cells being sent to the injury site etc.- at that point I think just give the patient something to do do take their mind of the situation till they get to A&E.

I'm gutted, you never completely recover from a break like this. I'm sure he'll return, but will certainly lose some pace and agility.

Plus an extended time out for any sports person has a big impact regardless of other injuries.
