A great chance to play Holgate or Pennington. Or another youngster.

But anyone but Hibbert.

Mediocre at best poor usually. All his career. And now more than ever.

Whichever really. I forgot about Kenny. From what I've read about Holgate though he could really give us that bit of bite we need.

Got a lot of bias towards Kenny with him being a local lad myself mate, having another 1-2 of them in the team will improve us as long as they are good enough, still think how the rs lost a lot when Carragher and Gerrard both got phased out

I know Wigan wanted to extend the loan on Kenny but we turned it down and wanted him back at us, so hopefully that points towards us having a role for him to come

We need Stones at right back in the league and against City. No time to play a kid when we have a guy who has played several games for England in that position.

also mate, pushing stones to rb and bringing Jagielka whose been out near two months with injury back in at centre back for these upcoming games could be asking for trouble, jags has a history of coming back slowly after an injury with his form and we will get punished badly if that happens again

Just can't see the likes of Holgate playing while someone like Jags sits on the bench.

....I'd be surprised if Jagielka doesn't start. If it was me, I'd give Stones a break and play Jagielka and Mori at CB. RM will have an eye on Wednesdays game at City and I can see Lukaku also missing this one.

Oh yeah for this weekend, I agree.

I think Jags will be ok, he was fit enough for the bench v Spurs and can sharpen up at the weekend.

He might play 3 across the back and put Lennon on the right side of midfield with the option of filling in at right back if required.

I'm no fan of 3 at the back but for this weekend I think it'd be fine.

Might be worth resting Stones or Mori if possible though.
