We will have to agree to disagree I think... I believe if you are given a chance and you take it... you stay in until you lose your place and the next person takes their chance

I was being facetious mate. I agree. Coleman is a very good player and he's in decent formWell, Henry started as an out-and-out winger mate... He was never really a central striker. He always drifted wherever he wanted.
More often than not, shoehorning young players isn't the answer.
In this case, it seems Holgate is certainly capable of providing good back-up at full-back as well as centre half. But Coleman is better. And his poor form is been exaggerated in any case - he's looked fine since he's come back.
But it isn't like we've got worse because of it - Coleman is a better player, and right back is his natural position.
Holgate is a young lad with the game ahead of him who will be a centre-back by trade. It makes perfect sense to have him as back-up for both positions for the time being.
And I think if you lose your place due to injury, you should come back in.
If you lose your place due to suspension or loss of form, then your place in the team is up for grabs.
Well that's where our opinions differ... the only automatic starters we should have in that team are lukaku ( because we have nobody else) and jags , because he's captain.
You see I dont think anybody should be picked solely cos they are captain.
I personally have said that the only 2 people in the squad that cant be replaced are Coleman and Lukaku, cos IMHO there is nobody else in the squad who is anything like a decent back up to them. But that was last season, the boy Mason looks a player, he has a big future and he will get his chance, but for me, personally, hes not a RB, he can certainly play RB and he doesnt look out of place, but I dont consider it his primary role.
So for me, Coleman, Lukaku and now Ross Barkley are the only undroppables in the squad.
Since when does Cleverley play at full-back?
And if you meant Coleman then no, he wouldn't at all.
That's all very well, but what happens when Charlie Farley & Piggy Malone step up to the plate and contribute to you winning aAnd I think if you lose your place due to injury, you should come back in.

You can't really say that, Mason could have scored a hat-trick of own goals, but I suppose we could have gone on and won 5-4.Had Mason been playing against Palace, Bentecke would not have scored.
Why not? Wasn't he at fault for the headed goal against Spurs on opening day?Had Mason been playing against Palace, Bentecke would not have scored.
Again... agree to disagree... If we are no worse off playing holgate I would rather he kept his place and improved as a player. Coleman should wait his chance ... competition for places is what it's all about. Coleman has had no pressure on him for years and knows he is an automatic starter... finally someone comes in and gets mom and yet Coleman is still picked ahead of him. That doesn't really count as competition for places does it? Coleman still knows he will be starting every week . If he realised that he isn't then it Kees him sharp and working hard.
