Statement about Everton FC captaincy

19 June 2018
"Even if we cannot guarantee Phil a game every week, he is and will continue to be our Club Captain. His values and influence on the field are irreplacable and it'd be wrong of us to change Captains simply due to a new management team being in place. We hope this firmly puts any speculation to bed about Phil either being sold or demoted from being Club Captain." Plus he is the best lace-tier we've ever had in our history laaaads hahah

Where’s that from? Can’t see it on the Os or twitter.

Erm, if Talent wins games, then surely talent also wins championships? However, if teamwork and intelligence wins championships, talent isn't required?

Talk about the standard blurb in a motivational poster ;)

So confused.

If talent is not prepared to play as a team, then teamwork & intelligence wins...

Hope that explains it better...

A problem easily solved, jags should be sold now.

You're correct TL just 2 problems as it currently stands, we need 4 decent halfs for the squad IMO, at the moment he is still one of those four and the club are making no noises about selling him so until that time comes my opinion stands, Jags a good ambassador off the pitch but leave the team leadership to Seamus who is the man by a country mile.
