2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Today was a decent point and a clean sheet but it wasn’t pretty one bit. Newcastle seemed to just plough through the midfield but just couldn’t find the net.

Hopefully he can see us over the line and we have a replacement lined up towards the end of the season.

It's all about context though, isn't it? After 3 and a bit years of dreadful football and relegation battles basically any point is cheered but, eventually, we have to have aspirations beyond just surviving. So, at some point, we have to be disappointed with just scraping points against the run of play, particularly in home matches.
The Dychettes are very happy for us to do that, they celebrate our mediocrity. It's depressing.

Respectfully disagree, we've often come away from the ground feeling aggrieved coz he's set us up not to lose when we could have won, today was different. It was a good point and a good "backs to the wall" performance which people would probably associate with the Sean Dyche defensive image that's portrayed instead of the fat ginger fraud we all know he is.

Having aspirations is essential over a run of games or a season. But today we did have 1/4 of our best back 4, and Tarks was abysmal. They could have gone 4th with a win. It’s a good point.

Dyche knows he is gone either by being sacked or by contract expiry, hence his “I’m not bothered….signed contract in good faith” comments today. Hate him as many do, I don’t thing that knowing he is doomed will lessen his efforts at all, limited though the results are.

Thank God for that. You're the most boring person who's replied to me in as long as I can remember. Granted, I can't remember anyone else replying to me but that might be coz I'm drunk, but good on ya.
I like boring…. It keeps me level.

Boring is what I strive for, so thank you.

My life ambition is fulfilled.

I'm glad my presence has been able to propel you to fulfil your potential in life but please don't set yourself a glass ceiling, you can excel further by finding people who you bore to tears or even bore to death. Go get em tiger, the world's yer lobster.

It should not change our stance on him whatsoever. He failed his audition miserably. He continues to give the majority of minutes to players that have no future at the club. He really scraped by today and was only saved last week because Branthwaite had his first start. Unless we REALLY are threatened with relegation though, I find it hard for him to not last the season. He is the definition of a lame duck coach right now.

What era are you?

Maybe I could bore you to death….

I feel that this could be my calling.

I am in fact now hungry for lobster…. Even tiger. Is there something wrong with me…

Has anyone ever tried tiger?

Bet a geordie has punched one… even you SFB

Forest is a really tricky one this year. They have more experience in key areas and also playing them right after Chelsea and Man. City so who knows what the recovery time and energy levels will be for that. Wolves away last season three days after playing Man. City was a really poor performance and were comprehensively beaten.

Wolves could well have a new manager coming to Goodison but well overdue a win v them at home so bit more confident for that given how they're defending.

Before that need to be getting 4 points from the Fulham and Brentford home games and ideally an away win from somewhere.

Jep, Forest has a pretty good squad now. Wolves look terrible 14 of the last 18 lost, played some tough fixtures, but still. Fulham have a improved squad and also a manager that seems able to progress with the team.

Ipswich won't be an easy ride. Need a better offensive performance than today.

Are you pissed? They had three shots on target because they ballooned about ten other chances over the bar, fluked one off the line, they missed a pen. Their finishing was terrible, we were very lucky. We lose that game 9 times out of ten. Take the draw but don’t kid yourself.
Newcastle found multiple Everton players in their faces all game. Only Gordon had a clear cut chance from open play.

Do people even watch these matches?
