Good points, but a manger who’s here for 3/4/5yrs has to keep improving the team and play imo, irrelevant of money,
Unless we sold our best player every summer and replaced them with an under 23 player. We’ve lost only Onana from
Last season starting 11 and dyche wasn’t even plying him the last few months, Witt ndiaye, lindstrom, O’Brien, mangala we arguably have a better squad than last season.

if dyche gets 43 point’s this season and stays beyond this season, then gets 45, then gets 41, we basically just turn into Burnley

Have we not already ?

Well yes from a style point of view and how he sets us up and talks in press conference. I wanted dyche gone yesterday,
But some think give him time and some money and he will be a different manager
The only way that happens is if he agrees to change his ways a bit imo otherwise it will be a waste of time and money and we will end up with another squad full of players we can't move on because they fit a Dycheball system and the vast majority of teams simply don't play football like that anymore. If he gets us in decent position again then it possibly will crop up but he would have to be willing to be a bit more flexible from a tactical point of view.

If we have 5/6 games at end of season after securing safety, it’s an ideal opportunity. I know we had a few games last season (was it 3 or 4?) and he changed nothing, but 5/6 is a decent amount of time to try to introduce some new patterns of play.

He is a pragmatist manager though, like Allardyce. And Allardyce changed nothing despite getting us safe with like 8 games to go or something. So it’s about whether he can be anything more than a pragmatist.

Pre Dyche - Post Dyche

Someone asked me to check the stats yday because apparently there's been no improvement.

These constant conversations about Dyche often feel like a pragmatism vs style discussion which drives the expectations for this season, with one camp looking at context and how this drives their pragmatic view e.g. a need for stability, seemingly not so concerned about performance visuals and another camp (I think) considering an element of pragmatism, but expecting a better style of performance / progression of style / evidence of coaching from him.

I’ve personally flip flopped on him and continue to do so. I probably sit somewhere in between. Do I want stability? Yes, particularly as I think he will be gone seasons end anyway and I think his tenure so far compared to before as been favourable. Do I want easier performances on the eye with a little more possession and evidence of progression etc and do I want him to be able to learn/change? Yes, to a lesser extent.

It should be a nuanced argument, but at time here it feels as though advocates of both sides become entrenched in their positions with no quarter given.

No room for Dyche centrism here. Are you Dyche in or Dyche out?

Not a chance he gets a new deal unless we get into Europe and that ain’t happening.
A mid table finish will enable to get a few more PL offers.

I don’t think he will either and if TFG are serious players , they should be already talking With potential new managers. @Zatara thinks he maybe get a new deal if we finish 8th 😂😂😂 not a chance of that, top 6 villa and Newcastle and Brighton is your top 9, we may get 10ty With a lot of luck, but dyche being extremely defensive at times and happy to settle for a point in games, like Leicester and Newcastle will mean we fall shorty of any chance of a top half finish

This guy is so far up Dyche’s bottle he’s tickling his tonsils
Probably nowhere to be seen on bad runs like last seasons or the start of this one, all over him like a rash as soon as we have a little 3/4 game run. Just because he’s slighty better than the last manager, doesn’t make him a great manager and someone deserving a new deal.

Another fan who has zero ambition

You can check if I'm nowhere to be seen, you know. It's a boring comment, I am on GOT a bit too much for my liking.

Im now ‘on the fence’ with Dyche. I was totally for his firing but the Ipswich result was good. However the next 4 games are crucial. On paper v difficult but Dyche needs to convince the fans we can do more than beat bottom feeders. 6 pts is my minimum…
