A chance DCL will stay if he gets the manager who will play to the style he wants and likes the plan from TFG,
Same could apply to Branthwaite
It's a style of play that's created some very good scoring opportunities for him. Does he want a few more sideways passes before smashing it straight at the keeper in a 1 on 1? DCL's contract issue is more likely over money than anything else. A free transfer is potentially a massive earner for him.

If style of play mattered that much then why would players leave teams who 'play the right way' in order to join disjointed sides like Man Utd?

You can’t ignore money either which you seemingly want to. Its one of the biggest determinations of success in football and our positive transfer spend is just written off as irrelevant by some on here.
Excluding left back, Dyche has the most functional and balanced squad in many seasons. Strongly believe its the best set of footballers he has ever had at his disposal. How he sets about about utilising their strengths is an issue.

We are creating fair amount of chances, we are solid defensively when Branthwaite is playing. Exactly what style of play will satisfied the majority here?

Also wages is another I wonder where we sit at the wages table.
You also go in about use losing player and not spending, like Onana who dyche didn’t pic for the last few months. Is this seasons squad better than last season? If say yes, you will probably skirt round the question

No it’s not, the bobble has said he doesn’t see eye to eye with dyche and hates the style of the play and his agency are totally ignoring Everton. Yea going off Ipswich( worst side in League or one of the worst two) ) he had 2 great chances also one against Newcastle, how many others ? Most of the time he’s is isolated and the ball is smashed at him. Because Utd are one of the biggest clubs in the world, they will always attract top players, they still also win trophies no matter how bad they’re

The squad is arguably marginally better than last season. Not by much though, and I don't think the first choice XI is any stronger, other than N'Diaye

We never got the fullback(s) we needed. None of Onana's replacements are better than him, and we didn't get the striker(s) we need.

So marginally better for me, but then I think the league is stronger this season. So we're still very much a bottom half team for me. Any team in the bottom half can be sucked in with even just a combination of bad luck (injuries refs/VAR) and loss of confidence. Look at Palace and Wolves currently...

Did City with the best squad and manger in the history of the league only just win away at Wolves who are bottom thanks to a set piece in injury time and could have easily been 2 down? Have they not lost to Norwich in previous campaigns?

Villa, Fulham, and Brighton have all dropped points at Portman road.

‘It should be an expected win’ - even City fans wouldn’t be having this level of entitlement, utterly ridiculous. No fixture in the PL is an expected win. We were in our 2nd consecutive relegation battle to pretty much the last day just over a year ago and now you’re talking about ‘expected’ away wins?!!

There’s a difference between having the bar too low a ridiculous entitlement. Every Everton fan hopes to win every game but you can’t just expect to go to premier elague away grounds and easily win just because we’re called Everton.
Yet we get people in here defending Dyche because we are unlikely to get anything from spurs and villa (and even the mighty Brighton) so essentially has them down as ‘expected losses’.

So we can only expect to lose and never expect our team that finished 12th last year to actually win?

You honestly don’t think fans from city, Liverpool and Arsenal down expect to win games?

Oh well, if Bobble said so....

And a player's agents will never come out and say it's about money. They'll always spin it another way. Plenty of players don't see eye to eye with their managers - same as any other job.

Don't see the league as stronger this year myself.

Ipswich and Saints both look every bit as bad as the promoted teams last year, wolves look shocking, palace are significantly weaker losing their best player without any replacement coming in, west ham look in free fall, Leicester doing ok initially but look poor as well.

I'll go on record as saying the relegated teams will all fail to reach 30 points this season.

so you don’t think the starting 11 is any stronger apart from Ndaiye, so it is stronger then 😂

Dyche didn’t pick Onana the last few months

Entitled to your opinion, but I don't reckon the third bottom team will finish on 26 points, which is what Luton finished on. You can point to teams who aren't doing as well this season, but I can point to teams who are doing (I predict will do) better this season than last. Fulham, Brentford, Brighton, Forest....

I don't think there's loads in it, but I don't reckon 27 points will keep you up like it would have done last season.

But if players don’t see eye to eye with the manager at a football club, then it’s a recipe for disaster.
Football is not like any other job

Err, I said it's marginally better. One player... "I don't think the XI is stronger other than n'diaye" - Please learn to read :hayee:

He's not picking the other lads he brought in either. Mangala just lost his place, and Tim lost his also., and Onana is the better player. Don't make out like he never ever started him.

But 5/6 games in ndiaye is already looking our most dangerous player,
So he’s a massive upgrade. If he stays fit he probably walks our player of the year.
I never said he didn’t pick
Onana u siad at the end of the season the last 7/8 games ? He was leaving him out.

And we know dyche loves experience,
So was always going back
To gana and doucoure, personally doucoure shouldn’t be playing in the midfield 2 for me and we will get found out if he carries on
Picking him.
