….i’m really disappointed in us this season, Mikey. What I’m not sure of is how differently posters would set up this squad of players.

Interesting in his post-match comments, he said “I like the way Fulham have invested”. It’s almost as though he’s suggesting he doesn’t like the players we’ve brought in.
Do we invest? We make signings of players only when a club accepts staggard payments over multiple years for them

Picked up on that and thought it was revealing, particularly talking about the forward players.

Ask them to maybe try pass the ball forward and move with a bit of pace instead of either hitting long aimless balls or passing sideways or backwards.

Dire, low octane, turgid , boring football.
If you are happy with that then you are embarrassing yourself and other Evertonians.
Correct. Terrible, terrible manager. His tactics and player selection are dire. We just have to accept he is here until the end of the season, then he gets binned and we can then start again

Pump long balls into the box

Press aggressively whenever we don’t have it

What’s the point of “Gaffer Days” if They can’t run around for 90 minutes?

…..pretty much confirms my point.

As I said in my post-match post, they had players who ‘move with a bit of pace’ (Smith-Rowe and Iwobi), they have players who have lots more quality in possession.

….he was asked about that on telly tonight, especially as he played it at Burnley and he suggested he hasn’t got the personnel to do it here.

There might be something in him saying; ‘I like the way Fulham have recruited’, suggests to me he’s at odds with Thelwell.

Yawn. Boring this now.

We spent money and improved the squad in the summer. That we sold Onana for £50m, a player he wanted nothing to do with, really isn’t relevant at all. We kept hope of DCL and Branthwaite who everyone was saying were our most important players. We are stronger than we were last season when we finished 12th, and now we’re back dragging ourselves back down into a dogfight.

….regardless of budget, it’s no excuse to buying poor footballers.
What’s the point in giving Sean Dyche footballers? He has shown for years that he doesn’t want his team to have the bloody thing! I’m sure Emile Smith Rowe is genuinely gutted we weren’t after him so he could sit on the bench while the floodlights burnt holes in his retinas while he was trying to work out where the ball was.
The guy makes excuses for whatever this “football” is, better players won’t suddenly make him chuck his entire career gameplan in the bin, he couldn’t coach a baby to poo itself.
