2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

**Thelwell**: “The biggest issue we’ve got across the whole building – because we’ve not been able to invest – is recruitment. First-team men’s, women’s, losing talent, recruiting at younger ages can be improved hugely.

“I would hope new ownership would be supportive of that process. Once we get that resource that can help us a little bit with programme stuff, a little bit with process stuff, a little bit with recruitment stuff, I think we’re going to be in a really exciting place.

“I think we’re ready for that next evolution, is how it feels. Assuming they \[the Friedkin Group\] get regulatory approval, it’s just now a case of getting the new owners in, getting them bedded in, not going crazy but certainly being able to take the next step.”

Presumably Dyche provided his evidence of him being a left winger…….

I’m struggling to believe he’s actually said that.
Where’s the evidence of McNeil being a number 10?

The bloke is really REALLY beginning to become insufferable.
The evidence would be both his earlier career stats and the fleeting minutes he has had in this position whilst here.

God this man is indignant in this stubbornness. Can’t see this attitude lasting very long with hands on American leadership. Please god..

Are you suggesting him being a good number 10 relegated Sheffield United?

Not following your line of logic, I'm afraid...

Just because his best position is as a 10, doesn't mean it's best for the team. I feel the same about McNeil, if we recruit better he'll be pushed out because someone better in that spot will be recruited, and he's terrible on the wing.

Having said that, while I see the logic I don't know that it applies here, as we've barely seen in him the 10 role.

You can muse on details, but "there's no evidence to suggest he should be playing as a number 10," is an utterly deranged quote.
