2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Attacking the goal is a peripheral thought for him, the myopic deluded football time capsule is fixated on defense and we've leaked tons of goals, which undermines the notion that hes even tactically astute at coaching his defenders, not even always guaranteed with dyche especially this season but you task all the players to sit back and defend the entire game you're probably going to concede less than attacking teams total in a season but since we offer no attacking threat its meaningless .

You wonder why his teams have never scored goals he just views forwards as advanced defenders and thus we're always on the back foot mentally wise, just trying not to lose a game at the best

Dyche also responded to calls for Iliman Ndiaye to be moved into a central role by saying there is “no evidence” the Senegal international should be playing in the No 10 position.

The £15 million summer signing has impressed since joining from Marseille but has played the bulk of his minutes on the left wing so far.

“He’s doing well off the left,” Dyche said. “People keep telling me I should be playing him there. People keep telling me of my role as a manager.

“I think he can adapt to Everton. The modern No 10 has to defend from there. Dwight does it very well on the offensive side but has found the defensive side more of a challenge.

“It’s not as easy as you think getting the right passing lanes to stop the opposition and then attacking on turnovers over 95 minutes. That can be developed over time but he’s doing a good job coming off the left — he can wriggle and drive into the box. He’s still adapting.”

Tells you everything you need to know about dyche and his “ tactics “ and why we don’t create anything of note for open play .

Stats by lying about evidence to back his own actions as he is stubborn . Acknowledges that he is being told to try hi. There and refuses to.

Then starts talking about the number 10 position and immediately talks about defending and how finding the correct passing lanes to STOP the opposition ..

His whole philosophy is defence and running and being anti football because that’s how he made a living as a player …

His tactics are as negative as Benitez and he needs to be removed asap

Yes, in the modern game, with more and more teams looking to play out, it's incredibly important that your number 10 or even a striker plays a part in blocking off passing lanes.

Feel free to disagree with me if you want. Some tactical insight would be useful.

Utterly disgraceful - yet sadly expected - comments yet again. Imagine discussing a flair number 10 role and instantly flipping the conversation to needing to defend. Are other team's number 10s known as being defensive-minded? Just thinking of some number 10s currently, De Bruyne, Mac Allister, Odegaard, Havertz, Maddison, etc. None of these are known for their defensive qualities, and nor should they be.

Ndiaye has all of the attributes to be a great number 10; he can beat players with ease, he can pick out a pass and he can shoot. As long as he puts in the workrate (and there's no evidence of him being work shy) then that's about all you could ask of a number 10.

Why should an Everton number 10 need to defend when the team plays four defenders, two defensive midfielders and two wingers that are constantly asked to track back? Do we need 9 defensive players on the field at any one time?

The sooner this joke of a manager goes the better.

Bit mad to compare the role of our 10 to those playing for the top clubs in the country. There is a huge gap in what these players are required to do given the amount of control they have over games and quality of players around them.

It’s absolutely all irrelevant anyway as I’ve seen plenty to suggest Ndiaye can defend well.

Dyche is so stubborn, its infuriating!

At Sheffield Utd 22-23 season, Ndiaye played 26 games as a CF, 13 as second striker and 10 as attacking mid. He literally made his name playing centrally as an attacking player! But, apparently there's "No evidence to suggest that".

There's really no cure for stupid! Either that or he just loves winding the fans up, and thats only going to end one way Sean!

I mean, it's even the terminology this kin wanler is using. Does anybody else come out with such garbage on a regular basis? There's plenty of evidence to suggest the likes of McNeil are blowing out of there arse after 40 minutes, yet Ndiaye who has been our best player so far is somehow needing to compile evidence that he's got the defensive attributes to be an effective attacking player - you couldn't make it up!

Its likely that he will never play him as a 10 now, because he's been asked about it. The stubbornness wont allow it.

For a team that struggles for goals, we've got a left footed right winger, a left winger as a 10 and a 10 as a left winger! But Sean knows best, ffs.
