2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

I liked the question from the journo about the u21 game and Patterson. Dyche was not in attendance that day ( why wasn’t he) so couldn’t reply on Patterson’s performance and tried to brush it aside. Not a great look
Why would our 1st team manager travel to King's Langley to watch a player he sees every day play and when there are other coaches there and video facilities available ?

I genuinely cannot be arsed with this fella anymore, talks absolute bobbins and talks us down. I’d pay the journos to push back on some of this garbage:

“We’ve obviously made a considerable difference to the defending stats from the early part of the season, so there’s obvious signs there.” Pickford saved our skins Sean, and you’ve got JB back instead of your calamity pal Keane there - could have tried Jake, but nahhhhh, he’s still learning. Leave a couple of young, attack minded full backs out whilst your pensioner pal makes an arse of himself but he is allowed to play himself into some kind of form, even with mistakes?!? Cool.

“And then [it’s about] finding that balance. Me and most other managers talk about it endlessly – the balance between defending well as a team and attacking well as a team. The final moment of truth is, obviously, the hardest as a manager.” It certainly is for you Sean, there is no balance In your setup, we don’t know how to attack because we’re all defending and chasing a hoof, how about trying something different?

“We’ve created enough chances in games – the ones we’ve drawn – to win, but we haven’t taken the chances. We haven’t been that far away. The defensive side had to be looked at and I’ve been pleased with that side of it.

“You want more goals from open play. I think this club’s been challenging itself for five seasons now, where the goal tallies haven’t been that high, so we’re trying to correct that, as well. It’s not just the individuals now, it’s that theme where the teams haven’t scored a lot of goals on a regular basis.” Bore off about the past, you’ve been here years, change your present and future ffs, it’s yours to control.

“The balance is clear for me – win games. I’ve said many times, ‘If fans want the truth, I’ll tell them the truth.’ Just because it’s the last season in a marvellous, old stadium – which I’ve grown to love myself – but it doesn’t make them all better players.
Oh, the players are [Poor language removed] yet again, and you cant be arsed coaching them to be better or to play as a unit better? Great, let’s all just not bother going to Goodison ever again shall we. The sad thing is, if you played and set us up with just a bit more positivity, Goodison would come alive and can make the players perform better, but you can’t even grasp that simple fact, because your too scared to lose the game, instead of being brave enough to win it. You keep sucking the life out of the grand old lady, you’ve put her on her deathbed.

“It doesn’t make everything better. We’re trying to give them everything they can, but it’s not that easy. You’ve still got the opposition out there. They’re not bothered about the stadium and a good send-off for the stadium. They just want to win games.

“So, I’ve never lost sight of that. If we can give fans, a great send-off to the stadium, we’ll be trying our hardest, like we have been doing.” Yet more cryarsing, how dare the visiting teams try and win a game of footy, they should all be playing for 0-0 and then your happy, eh Sean?

Do one you absolute fraud.

Are you playing unsolicited psychologist for a day or what!?

I'm an Everton fan, commenting on the Everton manager who comments on the Everton team.
Nothing mandatory about it, just being a fan.

Nothing mandatory about commenting on other fans' comments either for the record, but you are more than welcome to do so.

You're "sick of Dyche", by your admission, so what do you do to address this ailment? Why, watch his press conferences, of course.

Fair play. Knock yourself out. That's some impressive masochism right there.

It's a figure of speech, as you well know.

But by all means keep working on your pseudo psych evaluations. One day you'll get there I'm sure and you can get that virtual pat on the back
