2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

I dunno, I have no inside connections to the club but a buddy who has no reason to lie and is closer to the club told me months ago that DCL had fallen out with Dyche.
Would not surprise me. Wasn’t it don Carlo who told DCL that he needed to stay in their penalty area and the rest of the team’s job was to deliver the ball to him there? DCL had his best season ever. Dyche comes along and tells DCL his job is to make goals for himself, the result…..

The desire to see him replaced has caused many in the fanbase to do what they do best, go proper OTT. Yes, he's now a big problem. Yes, what we're being served up this season is putrid. Yes, he's not the most likeable of fellas. But is he hell our "worst manager ever" like I'm reading from some. Give over.

Dyche actually has done some good whilst he's been here. He saved us from oblivion, against all odds, in 2023. Anyone putting him in the same bracket as Benitez or Walker wants a hard slap.

He was brought in solely to be a firefighter, and was then afforded an opportunity to show us all he could do more. He's ultimately failed miserably with that, but that doesn't mean everything else should be forgotten. Shake his hand and bid him a courteous farewell.

We stayed up in 2023 because of the incompetence of Leicester and Leeds. He got 21 points from 18 games which is actually still crap. He’s about to leave us in a worse position than when he found us.

With that squad it was actually pretty good. And what other manager would have came in (realistically) and got us that many? He did the job he needed to do, and again last season. It's just this season he's been found wanting, hopefully not at the cost of our relegation. But he is not level of grotesque wage thief the FSW was or as incompetent as Walker.

he’s worse

they’re is no case for a manager who’s got us to his level

Anyone else heard the rumour that he’s gone? Carsley incoming.
No but seen a rumour that he had a row with DCL at Ipswich which was bad enough that Dom didn’t travel back with the squad and neither Coleman nor Thelwell could diffuse the situation. Apparently still has it in for Patto and reneged on a promise to make him a starter as well

it’s the complete stubbornness and rigidity for me that’s so frustrating

no matter what the results are you know what the line up will be

if there is a change it’s like for like. beto for dcl or lindstrom for harrison. formation, tactics, style and personnel stay the same

would of course like to see a different style of play which isnt likely , but could we at least we something different in terms up set up? two up front, a midfield 3, wing backs, anything please

He's scaring me now not gona lie. I was ok with last season as i thought he'd do the job. I was even defending him on here at times. But the performances this season so far have me very concerned and thinking we need to get rid of him asap as i genuinely think he's got nothing to offer now. He's full of sh!t aswell. He was doing an after match interview a few weeks back and at that stage it was 1 defeat in 5. Ive no idea why the media massage his ego but the reporter said you must be delighted with 1 loss in 5. And my god he lapped it up like we'd just won 5 on the bounce. Straight away there is your mentality. Talking about not losing. Not about winning. But not losing. You couldnt get more Sean Dyche. And even then when you broke that down. There were two draws at home we lets be honest deserved nothing. But he still stood there like he was manager of the year.
Very different vibes from last year. I'd pull the plug now to at least give us a chance.

Didnt Lampard do the same but was given the bullet the next season.

If we had people who gave a toss the same pattern would of happened to Dyche last season when we went 3 months without winning a game.

I think people who make excuses for him need to give their head a wobble.

I'm not making excuses for him, I want him gone ASAP, my point is the level of vitriol towards him is undeserved and unbecoming.

Let's be honest, we were fortunate to stay up in his first season. Maddison scores the penalty to stick them 3-1 up and we're not coming back from that. We lost to Fulham and Newcastle at home comfortably. We were a Bournemouth equaliser from going down. Heck, Castagne missed an injury time sitter at Newcastle that would have sent us down. Not to say beating Arsenal 1-0 and Brighton 5-1 wasn't great results from him but luck definitely played a factor in us staying up.

Last season he somehow managed 4 months without a win but finishing with as many points as we did with a 10 point deduction was a really well done job from him regardless of how streaky we were.

This season has been absolutely pathetic where we've been woeful in every single metric without many signs suggesting that will change. That alone has been more than enough to see him sacked now.
