2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Not really mate, no, we've under-performed, but I'm still of the opinion that he was closer to deserving the boot before the Palace game than he is now as we speak. That's not to say I'm cutting him loads of slack though. I demanded nothing other than a win in the last game if he 'wanted' my continued support.
He should have been done after Bournemouth, never mind palace.

Your posts don’t suggest what you’re saying, you seem contrarian to others posting legitimate concerns and grievances with Dyche, and you seem to show you’re fully behind him and making excuses for him imo, and I’m totally fed up of anyone worrying about the teams below us being ridiculed - we should be worried by any team in this league, with the way we have performed this season.

One day there won’t be 3 sides to bail us out, and there’s no denying we shouldn’t be in the position we are, that’s on the manager.

So it's becoming evident from past comments and the play on the pitch other than directed the team to play in a low block , dyche tactical approach is give it your all , I just assume he stands on the train ground at finch farm scratching his biscuits the whole time and doing the weird coughing up flem but not spitting it out move that he does at press junkets

But we've beaten 4 of the current top 5 at home, under Dyche. If you want to write them all off as no points though, then you're entitled to your opinion. There's a small fortune to be made if you're right. The Arsenal-Chelsea double is 0.96/1 with Hills for a start...

Now I'm not suggesting we beat 4 of them at home this season, but I'm certainly not writing them all off, and also, in some ways, the Goodison derby is now a free hit, though it might not feel like that by the time it rolls around, granted.

I havent. Odds and percentages says you've got more chance of points against ipswichs and leicesters than chelseas and Arsenals.
We should have put more points on the board by now. Everyones getting their Southampton points in the bag. Oh except you Everton.
Thats it.

It’s less than evens for TWO fixtures, it’s appalling value. It would mean Arsenal should be about 1/5 for Saturday’s game. They’ve been mainly underwhelming this season and we’ll no doubt have loads of people including our own manager telling us we can’t possibly expect to leave our own half at any point in the game.

I'd rather we didn't leave our own half tbh :hayee: but that's not how we've approached many games lately.

Seriously though, no problem getting 10 behind the ball at their place, I think it's our best chance of a result. It's not a tactic we've seen much of though. I expected it at Old Trafford tbh.

I'm not here to advertise for the bookies mate, I'm just saying if anybody is absolutely convinced we get nothing then close to doubling your money on 2 supposed certs is not that terrible. I mean, let's be honest, given our record at Arsenal over the years, it's nearly as good as 0.96/1 for Chelsea to win, which you certainly won't get anywhere.

Mate, I'm the only person on here out of the so called Dychette's who has consistently stated targets for him to meet in order to keep my support. I couldn't be more consistent. Not my fault he took 4 points from the 2 games I described as 'can't lose, must win.'

The point against Brentford was embarrassing though.

Scraping a point against a team that had zero points away from home and only had 10 men.

I couldn’t have brought myself back in here to defend him after that so fair play to you because that game felt like a loss.

The aim this season, as it was last season, is just stay up. You can’t be in the mess we are, making profit on player sales over 2 years from a starting point of just avoiding relegation and expect much better.
I think the risk of us going down increases if we sack him now tbh. I get it might also get better, certainly in play style if nothing else, I just don’t think we are in a position to risk it right now.

Nil Satis Nisi Optimum and all that right?

Expectations truly on the floor.

Enough points to finish 12th last season but now happy to just finish 17th.

Consistent you say. *Cough*
Fair enough. I personally believe that he's clinging on by the skin of his teeth if we draw, but it will be hard for me to mount a serious defence for him if we do draw.

You set your target and he failed and we drew against 10 men and unsurprisingly to most people here you reneged and have been mounting a serious defence for him ever since.

the risk of keeping him increases the risk of going down not the other way around
