Dyche did say himself that they hadn’t worked on tactics in preseason
Wasn't it more to the effect of early pre-season was fitness and latter pre-season was the tactical side?

Dyche did say himself that they hadn’t worked on tactics in preseason
2 weeks before the season, no. With 1 game before the season starts it’s a bit late to be trying to new ideas, ways of playing and then ironing them out in preparation for the seasonWasn't it more to the effect of early pre-season was fitness and latter pre-season was the tactical side?
Agree mate - but him saying publically that it's 'quite an extreme place' is daft as well really. He's been here for nearly two years and he's at the biggest club he'll ever hope to manage & our expectations aren't even all that unmanageable. Just think the fella doesn't do himself many favours. Why though mate? We haven’t won anything in thirty years so it’s a bit silly having an entitlement for success, we can’t manifest it just by demanding it.
Unfortunately for me, i see Dyche as a manager who only comes to life when we are struggling in the league and we need those 'win uglies' mentality.
The only time we put in any sort of performance preseason after some truelly shocking performances and results, was second half against Roma.
Thats where the new boys were given a chance. Thats where fans saw the future..
nah..drop em to the bench and start with the crap...good old sean
It is a very extreme place though with how we as fans react to stuff. We’re a relic of a once good club, champagne tastes but Echo Falls budget. He doesn’t do himself any favours with starting the team that failed first half at Roma instead of going for the much better second half team v Brighton like.Agree mate - but him saying publically that it's 'quite an extreme place' is daft really. Hard to disagree with him, there was mass hysteria last week over losing to a decent team.
I get there are many who understandably will never take to his style of football or his personality but you have to look at the bigger picture, at least until the club is a bit more secure financially.
He has just made it up. What effing Europe? What is he mumbling about? He probably does have a point.

You know how ridiculous that sounds based on recent times?...and he should really be accepting that and just getting on with it.
This isn't Burnley or Watford - this is Everton. Our fans demand success.
Okay mate. Allow me then to replace the word 'success' with, more simply, 'better'.You know how ridiculous that sounds based on recent times?
Is that actually true. I think most desire success, but a significant portion are smart enough to see the nuances of context and shades of grey.
The others, however, I do have my doubts about. No self control, up down, up down.
