2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Simeone teams have the defending and toughness side and also a side of actually playing football and scoring goals. Dyche being compared to him is disrespectful.

They make poor decisions because they are not coached and there is not a system. It's very hard to make it up as you go along at the highest level.

Because they have the right quality in the right areas. Defend and give it to Griezmann...he's gonna make the right choices. They've always had great attacking options for years.

And "Not coached" in attacking is up there with when Ancelloti didn't "coach" us. They do work on attacking, they also work on situations. They don't just do defensive drills every week.

But if the players don't have the instinct or skills, it only gets so far. The 4 on 2 today was an attack of Broja, Doucoure, Mangala, and Harrison. No coaching manual in the world needs to tell them how to at least get a shot on goal there. Yet it happened.

Which is where we are. 1st, get in good areas, 2nd get support, 3rd make the pass, 4th score. Regardless of manager, with the players we have how confident do you really feel when we get to the 4th point?

I think that we have enough quality to not be the worst open play attacking side in the division with better coaching. That's really all there is to it. They do not have a plan and while yes, situations arise that require the players to play, there are also plenty of periods where the attacking buildup comes from what is being coached. In this part of the game we are terrible.

We need to drop this “fuming” narrative.

I’m calmly and succinctly pointing out the cowardly position of our forum guru. I feel it needs highlighting.
You’re seething pal. Why else after a good day for Everton would you be trying to detract from the Manager’s glory and denigrate our forum hero.

You should be calories and bevvies deep into Boxing Day, alas here you are gunning for #Gaffer and @davek.

We have one of the worst attacks in the league, but should be better than Ipswich or Southampton anyday

I'm not sure on that. Ipswich and Saints are both horrific and are gone. Wolves I think may be good enough to get out of it. Palace should be as well. Leicester is the swing team for me. If it clicks for them they could be a hassle. It can also go the other way.

Ipswich are not in the same category as Southampton. They’ve got an annoying plucky never say die attitude. They don’t seem to get downhearted by batterings. They’ve got a nothing to lose mindset, that will lead to them taking beatings but also winning mad away games against the likes of Spurs. I worry about Ipswich more than Leicester.

Why’s there’s Evertonians seething from not losing to Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City, and whupping Wolves four zip the game before that?

Is it because their galaxy brains wanted the Everton manager out and he’s just made them look silly?

Buddies part of getting older is swallowing pride and showing humility. You want to be right on a crumby internet forum more than you want to see Everton do well.

Just incredible. Happy Boxing Day to those who celebrate it.

They feel like Luton last year to me where the quality is just not at a high enough baseline for them to really have a chance even if they get a lot of things right.
