2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Did he ever tell us what these instructions were that the players apparently ignored, or did he just throw it out as a blame shifting generic statement? He’s an absolutely disgraceful coward of a man, genuinely surprised no one has decked him in the changing rooms yet.

Yeah he said he sent them out to play a high press, free flowing, brave, possession based game with full backs bombing on and the midfielders making runs ahead of the ball.

Same as he does every week.

He’s shown a knack for getting relegated.
Has he?

He’s kept us in the league twice alone.

Don’t get me wrong, he’s properly crap. But nobody is really getting much else out of this group. Is it better the devil you know unless we can get some new players?

I’d much rather have Dyche than RVN for example. Hopefully TFG have a succession plan and some wiggle room to sign new players.

Biggest concern for me is you have a manager and half a team out of contract in May - if that was any of us knowing we’re out on our arse in the summer we’d be dialling it in. Not sure if Dyche lets that happen but unless the new fella can buy 4/5 of his own players it’s a big problem.

The reality is he was relegated twice even if the stats don’t tell that story - his replacement made a massive difference to their PPV and nearly saved them

Every season he was there, they were favourites to go down

He did very well there. Kompany spent more than he did in 7 years in one summer and they still went straight down.

This Everton team is relegation fodder no matter the manager.

Id sack him after today.

But only assuming we also spend from Wednesday.

'Everton registered just 132 shots on target and scored 31 goals in the Premier League in 2024, the fewest of any ever-present club in the league across this calendar year, whilst only Wolves (39.7) accumulated lower Expected goals (xG) than the Toffees (41.8) amongst those sides'

Agree with new players - it goes without saying the squad isn’t good enough but Dyche should be doing better with what he has at his disposal. Any new manager coming in needs at least positions strengthened for the first team in January
