2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

When attackers only

Nicking it Is a way too generous description of his overall approach this season , winning games doesn't even seem to be an objective, the brentford game bring a clear example where they had 10 men and we still played conservatively with no real intent to put attacking pressure on them
We had 27 shots in the Brentford game so we were clearly trying to put attacking pressure on them and win the game, and making out otherwise is just complete nonsense to be honest. We didn't have good enough plans to do it, which is absolutely a valid criticism to aim at the manager, but when we reduce this stuff to 'he'd rather not score' like a lot of people do it's a bit pathetic really.

He’s making the decision to play a 39 year old that needs covering

Honestly your defence of him is embarrassing at this point. If you put Delap in our squad he would’ve played about 20 minutes in total all season because the manager wouldn’t have deemed him ready.
The only thing embarrassing here is that such a basic conversation is probably going on over your head mate, yet seemingly upsetting you
Happily discussing minor differences of opinions, with a couple of adults that have a coherent argument, such as would we lose more games if we were more open. Do we have a decent squa ect?

You seems to think any old manager can come in and keep this squad up, with the lack of quality, with all the contracts expiring, the lack of goals ect. I seem to think that these things will affect the next manager too and full investment project needs to be with a new manager appointment.

Happy for you to join in with the adult conversation, but really try to up your insights? You don’t want young in the side at the minute… who should Dyche be playing instead that would revolutionise this team?

Chatting bubbles like Dyche wouldn’t play delap when evidence suggests he would based on broja is playing as soon as he is fit enough.

Agree with all of that mate, and we may just need a boom and bust cycle. Dyche was the boom, now going bust so we need a new injection of ideas hence just the 18 month contract. It does feel like repetition and even counter intuitive, I just think that Dyche has ran out of what ideas he had, particularly when less and less shielding the players in his post match interviews.

The whole season feels like a vacuum mate and it hasn't helped. Everywhere we look there is instability or a pause, the takeover, the stadium, the contract situation with players and staff. All driving a level of instability and uncertainty it cant bit help to all leak in my opinion.

We sometimes forget the men sensor team is a work place environment and stability at the moment across the board isn't great.

If im a player and i have 6 months left on my deal and who ever comes in and says "right lads this is a new way of doing things, this is the future and we're all in this together" - im thinking sod that im not going to be here in 6 months. For me how we collectively drifted into that situation (though not necessarily a bad thing) hasn't helped overall motivation and morale.

Dyche is still here, so from what you`re saying they can`t get anyone? I guess the managerial chaos at Roma has found it`s way here!

I knew they weren`t looking to replace Dyche until at least the end of the season, that was reported by many of the client journos, I got so many pelters by everyone saying they will be interviewing months ago and getting their plans in place... yet in reality they have put the TFG group guys on the board which is legally required, presumably because they haven`t found anyone to do them jobs aswell and kept Chongy on... I was right again, I don`t know how many times I need to be keep being proven right.

So tell me what they have done exactly that would directly improve our league placing... nothing.

And they don`t intend to... not till the end of season at the earliest. At least Moshiri would have booted this prick had he been engaged, Moshiri wouldn`t have put up with this but TFG are having him. New takeover that on the footballing side is proving worse than where we were before they took over....

TFG aren`t proving themselves to be good owners at all, in fact what is the difference between them and Moshiri? Don`t say anything and don`t do anything? TFG are disengaged Moshiri 2.0....
I know from a very good mate of mine that they’ve been speaking to Moyes about coming in on a temporary basis until the end of the season. Whether that happens I don’t know but they are very concerned about relegation and I see no reason why they will let this drift on if Dyche doesn’t start getting some results.

Moyes has ruled himself out...

This undoubtedly is the main issue here. It’s one very good reason why we need a permanent long term appointment.

Ill qualify this by saying im a big Moyes fan and id be happy to bring him back.

However if we look objectively at the Dyche situation, would bringing Moyes back at this particular juncture be repeating what we did with Dyche.

We brought Dyche in because we needed a pragmatic manager, to get % results under adverse circumstances to keep us in the division. Now we want him gone because he's a pragmatic manager who gets % results in adverse circumstances to just keep us in the division.

If we bring Moyes in to "steady the ship" as we did with Dyche two years ago, are we not just repeating the same cycle and people will want something different again in the summer. Instinctively though Moyes has all the qualities we need presently.

Its almost like wed want a manager with certain traits for now and another in the summer - that may be impossible to reconcile - which is partly why i think if we change managers it will be Moyes.

In all honesty however, there will never be one universal fan accepted manager, Carlo proved that.

I think it’s different. Despite appearances, Moyes is a different manager to Dyche. He is capable of using attacking players well and knows how to play to their strengths, Wedt Ham had a lot of them and actually played some very nice attacking football at times.

He also wouldn’t be wrecking the squad as he goes along as Dyche is doing now (calling them poor, wrecking their confidence, bullying some, having favourites, refusing to play players he didn’t buy etc).

Loads of waffle to basically say that he can’t possibly do any better and no manager would be able to do anything with these players. All guff that we heard before all of our previous managers were given the sack for underperforming. It’s the absolute final death throes of the desperate to justify their awful opinions rather than just simply admit they were wrong and this twice relegated 30% win ratio manager actually isn’t very good at his job.

Yes I believe a better manager would keep this exact squad up comfortably without spending another penny.

Yes I believe Patterson would offer us an option as an overlapping full back and open an avenue of attack up in the team.

Yes I believe the manager wouldn’t deem a player with no Premier League experience good enough, as he’s specifically told us in his own words that he favours Premier League experience above all else.

Yes I believe this manager will get us relegated like he did Burnley twice.

You wouldn't put money on any of our forward line to score a one on one...bar Ndiaye.

Broja's just turned up like

Way too early to judge, they only got the keys last week and I believe they will be very aware of limitations of current man in the hot seat!

Just put baines and Coleman in charge, at least fans would get behind them. Dyche is stubborn and weak,
