2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

In the summer, i can see it, a stylish Marco Silva type who will do the project thing.

Right now, the change is complicated. As i said we want two different mangeres one for now and one for the summer.

Its why i think they will be very reluctant to pull the trigger on Dyche unless you have to and the alternative might be to take on a Moyes type for 2 years.
The change is complicated until it isn’t, we continue how we are and it could be too late.

First season Dyche was lucky on the last game of the season. This season looks likely to be a repeat of that if he stays. If we stay up we scrape through. To me it feels like he’s losing the players if not already and he’s lost the fans, it doesn’t turn around after that.

Not for me, he improved us and got us to a situation we all would have took when he come in - to have it in our hands final day of the season.

He also did a great job last season.

This season the wheels have come off, but the recruitment from prior to Dyche causing inability to spend is what has let Everton down big time.

You can't take relegation fodder, strip it/make money every window and realistically expect it to kick on.

No matter the manager, we need to be making signings from tomorrow.

I think there is defo sounding out mate, i know he tuned his nose up at Leicester (in the summer) and Wolves.
I think you'd be naive to think they haven't talked to Moyes. If Dyche picks up results then they'll leave it until the summer but if he doesn't then they are going to have to move for some one. I still think they should've sorted out some deal with Moshiri months ago to remove Dyche and put a new manager in charge when we had winnable games against Brentford, Southampton etc and the situation wasn't so desperate. Moyes must think he's in a reasonable position to come out with that statement. This situation can't go on for too much longer given we've got the January transfer window coming up and we clearly need to strenghthen the team.

He'd never get a bigger job than Everton.

He's been managing since 1998 and only had one with Man Utd and that was largely because we/he were their/Alex Ferguson's lap dog.

Don't think he'll be looking for a "big job". He knows a Chelsea etc won't be looking for him. But outside that he's got enough pedigree to ask for a fortune and promises from a club wanting his services.

It's also a reason why other clubs take gambles on up and coming managers who don't have much leverage and are cheaper.

Only way I see Moyes here is...bumper pay deal, long term contract, big termination fee, same say over transfers.

In the summer we have the biggest opportunity to rebuild the club from the ground up. So it's anyone's

What team in the Prem would take him?

He has added little if any value to the team.
At best he has had us performing at the level you would expect the team to achieve based on their collective valuation.
He has been reinforced this season ( and the general consensus was that the incomers were good purchases)
Yet , here we are at the halfway point, just two points clear of the relegation zone and facing a battle for survival once again.
His managerial limitations have been exposed in multiple games this season and there has been no sense of progression.
Fear of change is the only reason he is still here.
The same fear that Burnley succumbed to the second season he effectively took them down.
When they did ,belatedly, make the change , the new man garnered more points but ran out of time.
Are we about to make the same mistake?

Do you genuinely believe this?

Wherever Dyche ‘improved’ us he made us worse in other areas. He’s such a limited manager

Agreed last season with all the points drama etc going on we did well to stay up but I even think we made hard work of that.

I think we are relegation fodder this season because of his mentality, nothing else. Yes some of our players are good enough, DCL, Mykolenko, Harrison etc but Dyches mentality is terrible.

We had a decent Summer in terms of recruitment, we should have pushed on but the disastrous first 10 games are all down to his inability to adapt.

The Bournemouth loss was unforgivable.

I’m really not sure where he has improved u tbh,

Yeah fully agree on the signings. We desperately need at least 2-3 players who will come in and improve the team.

I don’t like the football dyche has been playing and a new manager might give me a bit of a boost but if they’re keeping Dyche they need to fully back him in this window to maximise the chances of us staying up.

What team in the Prem would take him?

None. Maybe Palace. Dyche won't get a prem job. Howe if he left Newcastle would go to West Ham maybe. Potter is AWOL.

That's not because he's or they are not good at his job but more down to style and brand of football rather than results.

Firstly...fans in the prem do not like British managers as they're seen as regressive. Even the two most progressive like Howe and Potter would be in a scrap with someone like Will Still or some German 2nd division winner if given the choice. It's just how football has become now IMO.

Fans are more open to a foreign manager. People are lying if that wasn't true.
