2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Last two results give those around us oxygen, feel he could be relying on results to go his way tomorrow, regardless to get nothing from Forest and Bournemouth is a massive opportunity missed, the manner of both performances has been bad even for our limited players and they are limited, particularly the attackers.

Either a big investment needs to be made or he's now given TFG a decision to make.

I think TFG will be sounding out managers this week.

If you can't be arsed going back then why geg into the conversation and take everything completely out of context?
I think it’s you that needs to go back and read the thread from the start. Your whinging about it the game not being a level playing field because Bournemouth have spent money on decent transfers and we havnt, that’s not their fault.

Like I said. How many would get into Villa's team?
Villa isnt the norme for Everton anymore. Bournemouth should be. Small ground not a very expensive team. Middle of the ground international players with a top coach. Thats the DNA of that club. Everton soon will have big ground and a lot of average players with a absolutely crap manager. What would you change for starters?

Anyone saying Baines or Carsley hasn’t got a clue. It would be a one way ticket to the championship. They don’t have the experience to be able to stop the Rot. Moyes is a more progressive version of the outdated style of Dyche, and you could implement his changes mid season. If you get any type of progressive manager in or inexperience, we will end up exposing a brittle defence and I’m not convinced we would actually start scoring lots. Would looks like something similar to what we seen under Lampard

He doesn't seem to grasp the concept that a team set up to try to win a game will do so occasionally, as Ipswich did against Chelsea. A team set up to try to achieve a 0-0 draw might also succeed from time to time. The problem is that the second of those will only gain a third of the points of the first if successful and it takes 270 minutes of 'football' to gain as many points as sneaking a jammy 1-0 because they tried to.

Spot on mate. Dyche's dinosaur tactics could potentially work if we had quality players across the forward positions, but they are very limited. This means they need a lot of support on the training ground which they clearly aren't getting. Telling average players to go out there and produce a bit of magic isn't going to solve our problems.

Good to see you come over - slowly - from the dark side.

His race is run. Matter of timing now. And we'd better hope these owners are competent when it comes to a replacement - and spending.

Who are we genuinely link with?

Like I said. How many would get into Villa's team?
Probably more than Man United.

I would make an argument for Branthwaite and Tarkowski. Pickford for me as well even though it's close with Martinez. Ndiaye in a midfield that actually crosses the half way line could be a game changer. Gueye is arguably better than their holding midfielders in his mould. They do underuse Barkley for some reason.

Overall I would argue between 3-5 players. Lest we forget that Digne and Onana (just returned from injury) are regular starters.

I would claim that only Bruno Fernandez and Amad would get in Villa's team from Manchester United.

That may be the case next season. But our position is precarious this season and a safe pair of hands is required to keep us up. If we got the kind of manager your referring to then they would need to be backed heavily in this window as the current crop of players are bad enough playing how they are let alone trying to learn new ways of playing mid season in a relegation battle
Our position is only being made precarious by the manager.

Any half decent manager has us well clear of this. There are 3 absolutely god awful teams in this division that will almost certainly go down.
