2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

It's a bad run of form and he's doing all our heads in currently.. but, like some, I'm also weary of the actual implications of changing manager now, especially if it's only a short-term option.

I think if Dyche stays it's because the Friedkins will be pretty resolute in their plans to stay the current course until the end of the season and begin the 'rebuild' proper in the summer. Chances are that whoever the next manager they had in mind was only going to be an option once Dyche's contract ran down..

Tbf we beat Liverpool last season and their record at goodison isn't great so it's not a nailed on loss as you suggest.

I think we will beat Spurs.
No confidence in beating anyone with this manager he has lost the plot. We haven't looked effective all season. Small spells against Bournemouth and then we fell apart and since he has reverted to a new mega defensive type of football that will only ever yield draws and relies heavily on not conceding its not sustainable. He has to go.

Let's have it right: the only reason there are people calling for Dyche to go when we're two places above relegation with a game in hand and winnable games to come for two months is because they know we have a new owner and they believe there's room to put pressure on them as they did with Moshiri to force change.

We wouldn't be having this debate otherwise.
I don't agree Dave.
The football is dire to watch and only if that resulted in wins might that be tolerated.

Don't let anyone tell me that Palace, Ipswich and Wolves have better squads than us, I could mention others as well but at least they are having a go.

I readily accept the results against Chelsea, Arsenal and City were great points for us and probably Dyche at his best but also play like that against the weakest teams.
I think by now we should have another ten points without even having to be good with the players we have .

Game in hand
Liverpool -lose
Winnable games
Villa - lose
Spurs- lose

Where there winnable games? For a team who scored in only 2 games in the last 10, what makes you think we can win these games?
Fulham, Bournemouth are now our expected losses never mind these games. This fella is prehistoric. Get in a manager who tries to WIN.

I never had a massive problem when we appointed Dyche, as personally I thought he would steady the ship.
I never expected City esq type football
I did expect a team difficult to beat, and a great team/work ethic
Unfortunately for what ever reason (I could list a few)we have declined into the Wimbledon of the Prem
My personal belief is we are a better team than we are showing each week. I firmly believe we could have a far better win ratio than we have now

I guess the dilemma is if we appoint a new manager, will he be able to improve us in a very short window

I believe the right person could, as I firmly believe a new manager at the helm would simply install energy into our game.

Wins would follow…

Not saying it will be easy, but has to be better than what we are being fed at present

It's the manor of the last couple of defeats which are most concerning and ultimately why Dyche's time is up with us (and has been for a while).

We need a couple of league wins this month, and the fixtures we have a certainly winnable, but that simply won't happen if we play like we did against Bournemouth: aim to not concede with little to no attempt to try and score ourselves.

I can't see him lasting the month.

Palace have a much better squad than Everton. Wolves are probably same level and we're better off than Ipswich.

That's the reality.

Our creative payers like McNeil and Garner have been huge absences in recent weeks/months.

There's a reason for our lack of creativity.

But we also need help from the owners who should be doing deals for players.

We'll be fine under Dyche safety wise. Anyone else would IMO be a big gamble.

We need patience for players to come back in to the reckoning and we need a couple of players through the door.

There's no need for the major surgery of dumping managers and handing out a task to an unknown quantity who may or may not get along with the players and / or be able to get a tune out of them.

Dyche is Dyche. He'll get the required level of performance once the injuries have ended and we'll get safe.

For me the fact he knows he is a goner in the summer is making it worse too any motivation he had before is ebbing away and he is clueless to stop the slide. His ego cannot take it so he gaslights everyone. He is just a badly limited manager. We need decisions this week and if they are genuinely not sacking him(which astounds me) we need the DOF's future sorted and some signings in asap. Or we are heading one way. I think we are anyway with this chump in charge. Taking a plastic spoon to high tech warfare

Lose lose lose.

You cant think that way. Look at Spurs now FFS. And Villa are stumbling all over the place. And Liverpool were dominated by United yesterday.
