2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

My advice is to be careful what you wish for.

There's no way you can guarantee we get a manager in who can cope as well as Dyche has here for 2 years operating under the strain he's endured.

I would put it at 90% Dyche gets th required points to keep us up.

We are tough to beat and dont go on long losing streaks.

If these owners are wobbling on Dyche they better have around £50M/£60M to spend on players this window...and they better have a Plan B if that change goes disastrously wrong...which it stands a good chance of doing.

Dyche = safety
A.N.Other manager = risk
There is absolutely no safety with Dyche and everyone knows it…
We are tough to beat is another illusion backed only by Pickford’s heroics…
Risks need to be taken to get survival…

I remember this a bit differently to most people it seems.

At the risk of defending Dyche here - I don't think Jackson had any more of a chance at saving Burnley as Dyche would have had he stayed on. They got a brief 'bounce' but after that they looked even more hopeless than they did under Dyche and went down anyway..
Did they?

Played 8 games under Jackson. Won 3, drew 2 and lost 3.

Games he lost were to Newcastle, Spurs and Villa. They only didn’t score in 1 game.

He won 3 games in 8. Dyche had won 4 in 30.

My conern is that the players were give or take worse before he arrived mate. I think they are limited bunch overall, i dont see much potential to be unlocked if im honest.

Look at Wolves.

They looked clueless, the players looked like they`d given up and we put four past them ffs !!!!!!

Now I`m not saying the new guy is the saviour or he`ll have them in the Champions League, but they look like a different team now.

We will find the truth out when the new manager comes in and does his own assessment on the state of the team.

I`m expecting whoever it is, to find a few nasty surprises tbh.

But the counter argument.
We do get beat.
And.
If we need to go on a winning streak of even 3 games ,we won't.
We 'struggle ' to score.
If we do slip into that 18th position, which I feel is worse case scenario.
Heads will drop, and the toxic atmosphere will get fever pitc
There's reasons for that. We have our creative players Garner and McNeil out.

Do you see an alternative manager to Dyche getting wins with no brain out on the pitch to pull levers?

I dont.
