2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

He's off-hand.

I would be too if I had a load of ingrates calling me gravy tits for saving their club for them with a budget of f.a.
But did he though?

Did he save us?

There is a fine line between being incredibly lucky to avoid relegation and saving us.

In his first season we were one kick away, one save away, one Doucoure shot ballooning over the stand away from relegation.

In the second it was all down to Branthwaite and Pickford playing like gladiators.

We're here as a PL club ergo he saved us.

He did get the chance. He auditioned all season and absolutely blew it in the manner of a Finch Farm lavatory the night after a Nottingham curry with Woany and Stonesy.
Yes he’s had longer than any manager since Martinez I think.

Watching us play you would think were are managerless week after week, constantly playing out of form players that he’s created by the way because of style of hoofball..

He’s had a chance to change the Dyche stereotype as a manager and all he’s done is confirm what everyone knew years ago that he’s still in the stone ages..

SACK HIM

He definitely gets credit for me for his first two seasons.

Language is everything 'he saved us' ignores the fact the players, crowd and others doubtless did their bit. Sean helped in that effort. Likewise in 2nd season with points situation hanging over us. Helped get us over the line.

I'm not a Dyche 'fan' but am glad he was chosen to help the club through that period. He's the mirror image of the hideous period of decision making led by BK and Mosh.

But football is ruthless, is he the right person now, and even if he is in theory, is he delivering.

I think he could keep us up. For the first season I am open-minded to him moving on. We're going backwards and there are less weak teams around us this time around.

I really rate the job he did for 18 months. We are a train wreck of a club - certainly under absentee landlord Moshiri. Points deductions, negative net spends, threats of administration, zomble vultures like 777 flying overhead (before dropping dead into the Mersey)...

But this season has been a shitshow. His time is up.
