2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

sacking without a replacement is obvs daft

but they should of planned for this situation
and they haven’t

As i said Matty.

The fans are obviously unhappy, but all media suggests the players like playing for him and have no problem, so that's probably what they've taken into account along with the 4 games which accrued 6 points.

I'm sure in an ideal world for TFG they'd have kept him in place till summer and done proper due diligence.

I always think as soon as the media come for you, you're done, and before the weekend, there wasn't MUCH pressure.

Hell go now, and the fact we're heavily linked with Potter at least gives me some confidence they're working hard behind the scenes to get the right man.

I've seen Harry Catterick and every Everton manager that has come after him. Every time one of them was sacked, regardless of whether I thought they deserved it or not, I had sympathy for them on a personal level. There have been two exceptions so far Allerdyce and Benitez, I felt not a jot of sympathy for either of them.,Dyche will be the third manager I have felt this way about. A sneering arrogant bully, who is so obviously out of his depth.

Everybody knows it's just a matter of time now, Sooner would be far better than later. I'm not sure how much more my eyes can afford to bleed watching this terrible football.

I wish someone had asked him what he had been dealing with outside his football role and,in his words, “managing the situation” as well as coaching the team…he makes out he is single handedly running the club as Chairman/FD/CEO and Football Manager.

tbf mate, I've actually spoken to someone about this last season. Someone who would have a decent understanding of the boardroom workings of Kenwright and Moshiri and he did say very similar to me that Everton was a rudderless ship and Dyche was doing a lot more behind the scenes than just having to manage the first team.

It came across that Everton were severely lacking leadership in all departments (by this time Moshiri had completely checked out) and he was having to put out a lot of fires himself and dealing with a lot more than a manager would normally deal with. I'm sure it was just before the rs game that I was told this.

Not defending Dyche in any way, shape or form here, but it was an interesting chat I had and just rang a bell with me what you mentioned.

Whilst it's obviously better that he hasn't lost the dressing room, if he's still losing games with a squad that's behind him it's still a massive problem,

That second bolded bit is a weird way of saying six points in our last six games, which is where we actually are. The Forest and Bournemouth games were not just bad dreams, you know.

I've heard this multiple times, so I'm sure there's some truth in it, but what does that actually mean? What other tasks was he covering?
