When a promoted side is struggling in the next couple of years, he'll get some calls. As much has he was terrible this season, he did actually boost his CV somewhat the last couple of seasons.

Doesn't make sense. Because surely the 11 he has fielded this season are not much worse than the team he stayed up with in his first season or finished comfortably with last. And surely a signing or two in the transfer window can only strengthen his chances. The issue was he knew he was going in the summer and that just doesn't bode well to keep someone in those circumstances.

He should have been thanked for last season. 100%

It's the correct decision without doubt but strange not to just include a short all the best at the end
