2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

I hope we are mate.

But I cant see it with this lot. They're tripe apart from Ndiaye, Branthwaite, Pickford and Tarkowski.

We need three very good class players in this month or we're heading into the Championship.

And if any new manager tries to play football with this lot we'll be relegated by Easter. They're just not up to it...as the last manager knew very well.

but we wasn’t heading to the champ under dyche?

It probably wasn't any better but Dyche has already selected the team. Baines & Coleman couldn't do too much except to tell them to be on the front foot a bit more. It was not a good game it was like a normal Dyche game but too get rid of the Dyche habits won't come in 3hrs 11mins before the game
Except we scored from open play and won.

Wonder if he knew the writing was on the wall for the end of the season and just thought sod it - might as well walk now and save myself the hassle of a stressful few months with no reward.

The timing is obviously very strange and I would be surprised if the owners didn't want to let this play out as long as possible in the hope they could do their homework and get their man in the summer.
Think the major problem was his contract was up at the end of the season. He was effectively serving his notice. He may have said either extend me or sack me which brought things to a head?

They are fighting to survive because they can't score like a competitive team. It would be nice to think another manager can find more goals from this roster but I am not sure they are there to be found.

So the new manager should continue to play kick and charge?

Ok then.

Glad to see the back of him to be honest, he was clearly hanging round for a compo payoff and didn’t want to be here anymore. His press conferences have been pathetic lately.

Thanks for the job he did last year, he genuinely did a very good job in very tough circumstances that weren’t of his own making.

But this season, when he had a clean slate and overall a better squad to work with, he’s been shown up completely for what he is. An extremely limited manager who can’t adapt and evolve.

If he’s humble enough he’ll look back on this in a few months and realise he blew it. Doubt it though.
