But the journey getting there has been enjoyable, and the journey continues next Saturday v United, destination top half PL.I'm not enjoying it.
Being 13th is not enjoyable.

Had to unsure this. Reckon there's more to it. There wasn't mutiny but the camp wasn't aligned, he called it out for all to see and realised it was over, it's not cowardice or scumbagitis to realise time is up and you've given all you have, Halifax was recommended but churchill took the job - the rest as they say 'is history'. Dyche had gotten stale, it was a 'Jekyll and Hyde' side, enthusiastic and following a plan when all square, but the life drained out of them facing a game a goal or more down. There was no confidence of getting back into games. This shadow over any optimism must have had an effect eventually on the group as a whole. This for me is why "they weren't doing what I told 'em to do!", the support was tired, the squad was tired, and he had gotten tired as well. He jumped before he was pushed, I've no idea what the managerial grapevine was buzzing with because they met and agreed Moyes really very quickly. They didn`t panic, he told them that he could " get no more out of this team ", which in order to protect their investment, left them no choice but to sack him.
In essence, he went to them and said " I`ve given up ", what else could they do but sack him?
He manipulated his own dismissal, to try and obtain maximum benefit for himself, which makes him not only a coward, but also a scumbag too.
Even you with you`re blinkered agenda against Moyes, must be able to see that these players are now playing with the shackles off and even if Moyes were to be replaced in the Summer ( he won`t ), that his appointment as it stands was the right choice.
Also from the comments of five players ( so far ) it would appear that the players, as well as the fans had had enough of him too. Couple that with his complete and utter lack of playing with any attacking intent or score goals and the threat of relegation had become incredibly real.
He threw the towel in and was quite rightly sacked, lets not try and pretend otherwise.
We're top of the form table and leading the league in chance creation since Moyes came in.Just the same as long as it meant safety.
17th and 13th are just two rubbish positions in the table.
Dont ever forget that or you dont deserve to be an Evertonian.
In Hong Kong charity work, will pop up on some grim podcasts and do some radio work I suspect.Has he been seen since? No interviews, etc?
Can't see him giving any now.
I’m grateful to him for the first season and a half and to being honest and admitting he couldn’t take the team any further. This season has been abhorrent but at least him admitting this was the catalyst for TFG removing him.The line about him running out of steam and ideas seems more apparent by the day.
I think the club broke him a bit.
He’ll end up on that bell whiffs Jake Humphries podcast - seems to be the go-to podcast for managersIn Hong Kong charity work, will pop up on some grim podcasts and do some radio work I suspect.
Is anyone giving him credit for it?He deserves absolutely no credit for the run we’re on now. A redshite-loving loser who will never manage a club of Everton’s size again.
