2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

When you see it written down…

I think Dyche is pretty lucky to still be in position. He reminds us all the time of everything he has to put up at the club but I reality if we weren’t basket case he’d have gone during the winless spell- managers rarely survive such a run. For me it’s not reactionary to want him gone so early. The pattern now suggests that our runs of good form that have kept him in the job are the exception not the rule.

Even during our terrible start last season there were things you could point to- we weren’t playing terribly, we just didn’t have a striker to start the season and if we had we’d have started ok.

This season is worse, everything feels off. There’s an air of unprofessionalism around the whole setup- in the opening weeks Gana and Pickford made errors no one should make, and yesterday I honestly believe was unprofessionalism from Dyche, I think he switched off before the players did, and wasn’t alert to players who were obviously tiring. He took off players who didn’t need to come off so they could get a nice round of applause and left on players who were gone.

Yesterday was a glimpse that the players at his disposal can perform really well, the club and the supporters shouldn’t have to accept being in a relegation battle as some sort of inevitability. But while Dyche is here, he might well be the guy to get you out of one, but he’ll sure as hell get you into one first.
Absolutely this…

What was the thinking behind these substitutions? It could not have been to increase the lead and make the game safe as he subbed our only player who was relishing driving forward and still had energy left in the tank.

It also could not have been simply to sure up the side to hold the lead or he'd have taken off a couple of players who were well spent and brought on Jake to to bolster the back line and a player or 2 to keep hold of the ball, it makes no sense Doucoure being anywhere near the pitch.

We made 2 subs, Bournemouth made 5 and they triumphed, says a lot about Dyche's lack of knowledge at this level and also his laughable stubborness.

Also and I feel bad for not saying it earlier but what a fight back by them, incredible and deserved. That's what fighting to the bitter gets you. One hell of a day those supporters had after the long trip.

That too of course. That's why I think we need someone with a personal connection to the club who would be willing and able to come in and see us to BMD and maintain status in the league, at least just for this season. After that, hopefully we have new owners and can begin a full rebuild, top to bottom.
Why do they need a personal connection to the club?

Very easy to say "not an achievement" or that anybody else could have done it.

All I know is how utterly useless we looked when lampard came in, and the following season when Dyche came in. Things were grim and altho neither did a great job in those seasons they both kept us up. They achieved the goal set when they came in.

Last season I'd say you were in the minority if you thought we would get 48 points and that was without even thinking of the added chaos of waiting for and then suffering two points deductions.

I mean I get people not liking him and wanting gone (I don't like him and once we have new owners and are safe I'd be happy to see him gone) but I think you are just being utterly biased to make your point
Not really he a crap manager with a terrible win rate who consistently sends us on winless runs, 10 games(1st season) 13 games(last season) now currently 4(1from last season) will be 5 after Villa. Constantly picks the wrong team and does the wrong subs or not enough

35% win rate somebody posted before. Consistently it seems

Enough to keep us up

Does me fine until we get new owners or the club explodes and disappears. (Preferably the former happens like)

Been shaking my head all day about it all. This is the guy who drones on ALL THE TIME about the physical demands of the Premier League and yet he watches our opponents freshen half of their outfield players and doesn't respond in kind.

First to call it out when the players don't do the basics, that right there is as basic as it gets.

Reckon making him one of the best paid mangers in the world with zero expectations could sway him...
Why do people think people like Potter only comes for the money when 1) he is rich and 2) he could get similar money elsewhere? The money element may seem attractive to people like us on normal money, but when you can get similar at other jobs and at clubs more stable, it’s not that attractive.

He should have put OBrian and The other winger on with Garner would of been far better
