But if you’re saying any player can be coached to play any way, then there’d be no such thing as centre backs, or wingers, or strikers. Everyone would just total football it all the time.

Why do people think people like Potter only comes for the money when 1) he is rich and 2) he could get similar money elsewhere? The money element may seem attractive to people like us on normal money, but when you can get similar at other jobs and at clubs more stable, it’s not that attractive.

Footballers, and especially football managers always chase money even though they're already millionaires. Taking a more difficult job means they're more likely to be paid off their full contract when they're sacked early. They're all mercenaries, every one of them and their agents will be advising them accordingly.

12 months ago I'd have said absolutely not, but we saw some very decent stuff much of yesterday, pick the right players and I think there's some technical quality been added.

I agree.

Players have specialities, and in an ideal world are recruited to play a specific system.

You can’t entirely change the system and expect it to be fine because they are “Premier League footballers.”

12 months ago I'd have said absolutely not, but we saw some very decent stuff much of yesterday, pick the right players and I think there's some technical quality been added.

It’s not so much can these players pass a ball 5-10 yards and move up the pitch, they are international footballers. The main problem I see every week is our players don’t move and make easy passing angles, when it’s a night game they get marked out the game by there own shadows. A good coach can drill that into them.
