2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

His proven safety record is a myth. He’s been relegated twice, hes as capable of being relegated as any other manager.

We are already IN the fire. Really, when you write stuff like this how, much worse can it actually get? The only reason we aren’t adrift is that nobody has played enough games to have the points to have pulled away. This is everything we are meant to be avoiding with him as manager.
Our frying pan is on fire with this fella.

Abysmal football manager just horrid in every way.

Having a manager who’s ambition is to finish above 3 teams year after year is asking for trouble, having a manager who looks down for all of his career is asking for trouble.

Having a manager who’s career is littered with 16th 17th places is asking for trouble

Having a manager who’s gone 4 months without winning football games is abysmal

Having a manager who has conceded 3 goals a game in his first 4 games is atrocious

Having manager who has consecutively threw away a 2 goal lead is shocking

Stop thinking this is the best we can hope for!
They’ve been conditioned to accept this. They fully believe that no manger in the world would accept £5m a year to manage one of the biggest clubs in the league.

The mental gymnastics they’re playing to justify this woeful manager being here is hilarious.

Don't agree with this

There will always be interest in top flight manager jobs. Especially ones that come with a 4 or 5 million a year salary

Who is the interest from though? There’ll be plenty of chumps showing up at the door having their agent throwing their CVs in, but the elusive ‘progressive’ manager who somehow has us challenging for Europe on the only negative net spend in the league isn’t going to be giving up whatever he has at the moment for 4 months under Moshiri to then potentially get fired by Textor.

Any decent manager who may want to run a project with us is waiting for the ownership change and new stadium. They’re not stupid enough to take the club as it is now. Just because a lot of people hate Dyche doesn’t change that.

I really don't like Dyche and probably call for him to go most weeks, but I think I've come to the conclusion that sacking him mid-season would be a big mistake.

If things are still bleak once we have Branthwaite and Tarkowski back together then it's time to look again.

I still believe that losing that game from two goals up is on Dyche yesterday. We could see that the threat from Villa was that they were making runs and getting in behind. We had two full backs playing out of position and had to take the pressure off.

As soon as it went two nil we should have brought on O'brien and played 5 at the back. When we did do that at 2-2 we completely nullified Villa, it was only a complete worldy from distance that allowed them to score after that point. We even could have made that change 1-2 but he waited and we should have been 3-2 down before he made the change as they had an opportunity where rogers didn't square it well enough to Watkins.

As soon as the change was made we were sound. It's just poor tactical management again in my opinion and avoidable mistakes from Dyche for the second game in a row.

With 60 mins to go? Could you imagine the fume on here?

If we wait for Textor to fire this useless Pleb then it will be too late. The one thing I would say is a new manager won't stop the players from being brain dead.

We could go and get almost any manager from South America, 80% of the German league, 80% of the Italian Spanish Portuguese French leagues plus Anyone from the championship!

But no Sean Dyche we should be happy with!!

Until texter sells his palace shares, agrees on buying everton to the point it goes to PL and owners test approval, i dont think any decent, would be manager will commit to joining.

Dyche has a big problem in that his strong points are now letting him down. Last season we were second lowest scorers in the league in open play, and had worst home record in league for scoring goals.

We worked hard and were well organised, and that was what got us through the season.

This season i think the players have had enough of this style of football.

We have form for it what other team would appoint three managers that have been relegated.
Silva, Bobby, Dyche, a has been , Rafael, a never has been Lampard
you could make a case for the others.
The club is rotten from top to bottom and has been for decade's.
been sucked into the plucky little Everton mindset that kenwright brought to the club,
It will take at least three or four seasons under a new owner to fix the rot with are club.

This.

We're one panic sacking away from probable calamity IMO.

Sack a manager with a proven safety record for a stop gap manager and we're jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Agreed. It’s a question of risk. Dyche has shown he can get a response out of these players over the past 18 months. Some people only see the positives of spinning the wheel. We spin it and end up with another Lampard, Gerrard, Nathan Jones, Selles, Kompany, Russel Martin - they were all ‘young progressive’ managers once with high reputations, and were probably down. Dyche still keeps us up in my book which is the only thing that matters until the takeover.

The new owner can then spin the wheel however he wants from a much stronger position with better prospects to choose from.

Imagine Everton thinking out the box. But no, question one will always be “do you have premier league experience, or have you managed in the British isles”
