Because we have returned to medieval times and like to pelt the village idiot.

Dyche did well in his first 2 seasons but was exposed as a tactical dinosaur this season and is happily consigned to history.

I am absolutely delighted that we have replaced him with a far far better manager.

To be frank I disagree with pundits who thinks Dyche will be treated kindly by history and I very much doubt that he will get a decent job again but equally I really don't care and agree that this thread should be closed.

He kept us up only because there were three teams who were infinitely worse than us both seasons. Still needed a Doucoure blammo in one final game and points suspensions that galvanized the players and fanbase far more than anything he did. He talked down the players and the supporters and was utterly inflexible when it came to tactics, subs, formations and using/not using certain players.
He was no miracle worker in my mind and would certainly have taken us down had he stayed -- one point above the drop zone with a game in hand against the league leaders, that certainly would have been a loss with him in charge, is hardly safety.
But I reserve some of the blame for the clowns running the club, the ones who put the club in the position where it had to hire a manager like Dyche because there was no one better who would touch the job with a barge pole.
