I don’t rate Dyche particularly, no. Was just pointing out a flaw with the “international players” argument. QPR’s team is full of international players.

The heady heights of being safe going into the last game of the season, not what we wish for but what we would take at this moment in time.

Going into next season hoping to be safe just before the final season is exactly the best you can hope for with keeping Dyche.

But that is without the prolonged slump that has seen off every other manager. With that we have no chance of being in anything other than another nasty relegation battle.

Not sure he’d care either way. If we survive and he is relieved of his duties he’ll pocket a big wedge of cash, and can (sort of legitimately) claim it’s all been a success, reputation intact-ish, and will be managing one of the newly promoted clubs in 18th place by November.

I want him to stay whatever happens on Sunday, even though his repeated soundbites started grating by March, and while results have been better than Lampard, I think he could have squeezed a couple more points out of the matches we had (e.g. go for the throat at Leicester). We’ll be shopping in the whoops aisle in summer. Rather him do that than some Portuguese wonder kid manager with “potential” and mad ways of setting up a team.

There are far more important ins and outs at the club to be sorted over summer. Dyche, his staff and Kev should just crack on with pre-season and let whatever nonsense goes on in the boardroom to others. Keep all that chaos away from the playing staff.

I think it depends on whether we do get new people running the club.
They may want to make a statement of intent , and installing a new manager is the easiest way of doing that.
Our continuing problems with P&S rules means it is difficult to make a major signing to set their stall out.
I don’t think he’s impressed enough to guarantee his future with us.
