There are some really blinkered views of Dyche in the media and it’s reflected on here. First, the relationship between board, mgr and players had become stale at Burnley and that’s why he went and it was best all round. Next, he has always said he plays a mixed style of football based on his players and the opposition so for example against Everton he passed the ball (see memes) and against Arsenal he was difficult to beat and let them have possession - so the the better players the better the football you will get. Lastly when he started at Burnley, the first thing he did was ask the the players in an anonymous questionnaire what they wanted to work on as a priority and they said that they were letting in too many goals (with Eddie Howe at that time you could score 4 but still concede 5) so not conceding was their focus but whatever the outcome it was their vote and they were together as a team - that’s what you will get, a committed team that will analyse and do everything to beat each opposition and the tactics will change accordingly and according to players in that team. Given where you are I think you should get get behind the team and just try to frighten the opposition as much you can because that’s your job and that all that you can do !
