Arsenal casually offering another £70m for a player, Chelsea signed 7 and have spent very extravagantly. Meanwhile Thelwell and Dyche are offering an IOU on the back of a chewing gum wrapper.

This gap is becoming insurmountable. If you don't support a handful of team, you may as well jack it in, it's gone tits up with FFP and P&S, implemented to keep everyone else in their place.

We have European super league by default now shame there is not same outrage and will be too late when they go for it again. Think Newcastle will replace Spurs be the only difference.

The man has literally been at our training ground doing work. Our communications are an utter joke.

The only time they've been quick to put out information in recent months was when they wanted to try and paint the fans in a negative light. It's beyond pathetic.

Just announce he is our manager and has started work. We can watch an interview on wednesday after the window shuts.

They are doing this on purpose Tim, don't let them get to you.

Football club is acting like a petulant child to it's fanbase.

Funnel that anger into removing them.

Maybe, although we were never great at communications. It just seems to be getting worse and worse

Who is in charge of PR/communications at the club these days? Is it Prentice?

Was always the plan mate. Absolute bullsh!t about making it a more level playing field.
But it was the PL clubs that voted for it. Is your suggestion that the majority of PL clubs voted to keep the top 6 as the top 6 and prevent them from improving themselves? Also, FFP was never intended to make a more level playing field. Its purpose was to stop clubs from spending beyond their means and thus getting into financial trouble and putting the club's viability at risk

It’s farcical isn’t it. The top table is well and truly full. Very little wiggle room for a sustainable competition.

They voted for it but the big problem you've got with the two systems in place now is that it doesn't allow for the investment in the club like abramovich did. The owner can't just say he's a couple of hundred million for players anymore (at least that's my take on it). It was specifically (FFP that is) to remove the chance of another man city or psg pushing the big boys like Real Madrid etc off the top table.

We've had this discussion before. I remember the username. I'll just be repeating my thoughts on FFP.

It feels like that way but you look at the money the top (and even mid) teams are spending and the wages they are taking in on, and the lengths of the contracts and it just takes a bit of a market contraction for them to be stuck with a bunch of players that put them in financial trouble.

Foreign leagues are spending virtually nothing already, and eventually the PL are going to need somewhere to sell all the players they are buying. It sets up for the bubble to burst, and leave a lot of clubs in the position we’ve been in the last few years.

It’s hard to find optimism right now but if we can weather the storm short term then the enforced belt tightening we’re going through, plus the new stadium, probably set us up well for the medium-long term compared to the wanton spending of the rest of the league.
