Laughing here , but it doesnt even come close to some of things this club get up to.If it also gives them a "We only had a manager for 2 days" excuse if they cant get the work done in the transfer window.
You wanted Lampard out after 2 months, didn't you Jimbo? Were you part of an "unhinged element"?Right manager for our current situation but not a fan of the 2.5 yr deal if true.
The unhinged element of our fanbase will want his ginger heed on a stake within a couple of months so just another payout looming.
Its not.
Spurs managed it, Newcastle are about to manage it.
Its not impossible.
Who are also buying anything that moves.Except we’re not trying to keep pace with Arsenal and Chelsea are we, we’re trying to overhaul Bournemouth.
It’s actually hilarious that he’s been the manager since about Friday evening and still not a peep from the club, the man has been pictured at our training ground ffs.
We must be the most painfully slow club to announce anything.
But Newcastle are in the top 4 now and have spent less money? The reason is that the club is managed well at the Board level and on the pitch. If a club can do that they will challenge at the top with a level of investment which is quite commonplace for many teams in the PLThey’re different things though.
we’re down at the bottom because we’ve recruited poorly and wasted money - absolutely
But if we’d spent it wisely it’s highly unlikely we’d be challenging at the top.
People can say that Leicester or Brighton have recruited better than us sure, but trying to make out that we could have been up where Arsenal or City are if we’d spent money better in 17/18 is ridiculous.

The difference between 8th and 15th is worth about 20million, a Europa League run is worth about 30million, CL for 1 season is worth about 80million.Spurs have spent loads of money for ages, have had failure after failure before Pochettino came along, and found themselves with a good manager, a 100 million pound striker for free, and in the CL, just as FFP came in and their new stadium was ready. Quite good timing but even if they hadn’t have been, they had higher corporate sponsorships than Everton even when we were finishing ahead of them under Moyes.
Newcastle will have to make the top 4 this season or look to massively increase their corporate sponsorships from the Saudis. Otherwise they’ll have the same revenue problem everyone else has meanwhile whichever two of the top 6 miss out on top 4 this year will regroup and have more room to spend than Newcastle will thanks to their massive corporate revenues.
It’s not impossible to break in but it’s extremely difficult

Makes us feel better? What benefit will it be for us to announce it?
Dyche will 100% have been told to namecheck them in his welcome interview at the very least. We can play board bingo with it.Board got titty lip on with the fanbase,I reckon they’ll be pulling their “big interview”too with Dyche,Bill to Sharpie and DBB,”that’ll show ‘em“???
It is not meant to be easy. It the very top of the best football league in the world and the rewards for getting there are huge. Of course it is going to be extremely difficult to get into the top 4/6Spurs have spent loads of money for ages, have had failure after failure before Pochettino came along, and found themselves with a good manager, a 100 million pound striker for free, and in the CL, just as FFP came in and their new stadium was ready.
