Kenwright, as in the previous owner? Who had us a stable club in and out of Europe, what do you think.
Realistically we arrested the decline but stood still and failed to modernise the club, we became a footballing anachronism unable to spend the money when we got it because we lacked the structure to provide the oversight.
When Kenwright took over we were still a side who could be expected to challenge for titles occasionally.
By the time Moshiri came we’d become a nailed on mid table side whose main aim was survival.

Moyes worked wonders with his budget. Star players with little money at his disposal. I remember signing Andy Johnson for a record 7mil. And then Fellani for 15. Different time I know, but other European challengers were already spending up to the 10s and 20millions when we were signing Tim Cahills for pennies.

If he'd walked away after selling to Moshiri you'd maybe have a point, but he don't since he's our chairman and negotiating deals and appointing staff.
I wish he had of walked away, his name is too much of a sideshow, all focus should be on Moshiri, but too many can't see past the previous owner.
This is the Sean Dyche thread, and people are talking about Bill, which kind of proves my point.
Goes without saying if he had of walked And Moshiri put one of his people in place, we would ge much worst off

oh lad ffs

I've no time for this feller. He's taken this job under these circumstances. Just a blood sucker who'll be paid off in May with us in the Championship...if he lasts that long.
Reckon we should give him a chance. You could say the same about any manager who took over with the state of the club.

If Dyche keeps us up, despite this shocking transfer window, I don’t think anyone could complain about him being given the job
Dyche may not do a bad job - but we are down this year….this was the last chance saloon to at least stamp some of his authority on the squad and at least inject some energy and hope (which is incredibly important) into the dressing room. I am genuinely not a pessimistic person…..but in my opinion we are absolutely going down. We ARE a Championship club playing in the Premier league. We have not acted like a top tier club for some time, it has now caught up with us. They say things even themselves out……this is what is looks like in progress.

Realistically we arrested the decline but stood still and failed to modernise the club, we became a footballing anachronism unable to spend the money when we got it because we lacked the structure to provide the oversight.
Like when we signed Lukaku?
When Kenwright took over we were still a side who could be expected to challenge for titles occasionally.
Twice we needed a result last day of the season to stay up, when Kenwright took over we were a side who could be expected to finish bottom half of the table
By the time Moshiri came we’d become a nailed on mid table side whose main aim was survival.
By Moshiri came we were a team who if we came 12th is was a massive let down, that alone shows how much we moved forward under Kenwright.

Anyway not sure what this has got to do with Sean Dyche

Nah.

He's been told before signing there's f.a. coming in.

You cant take that job under false pretences that you're going to get out of this without players coming in. He knows what he signed up for: a big pay day and pay off.

I feel sorry for Dyche. He'll need all the luck and support we can muster.

Kin Everton.
It’s a no brainer for Dyche though. He will have had offers but not from PL teams. He is used to managing at our level in the PL and has experience of the Championship so he is no worse than what he is, other than he is a division higher than when he took over at Burnley. If he goes down he has experience of that…so not massive downside for his personally (other than professional pride) but if he stays up or is relegated and comes back up, the upside is massive especially with the new stadium in the horizon and being the first manager of us in BMD. I wish him the best but he knows what he is in for…..in any other scenarios he does not get to be manager of Everton

Did we not go several windows under Moyes where we bought absolutely no one in for a fee?
Yeah, and we're doing it now. Did we sell a 40m player in those windows?
I don't recall us being in the bottom three back then, and with a new manager, who the owner should be supporting.

Obviously I disagree with you but as you rightly say wrong thread.
Dyche’s role in our saga is to usher us out of the PL.

He is exonerated.
People moaned when he owned the club about bad windows but we never had one even close to being this bad
He is absolutely not, NOT exonerated. Wouldn’t you think…..why you are absolutely swimming against the tide of public opinion? A lot of us remember what being the best was…..clearly you do not. BK and FM can both GTF. They have both killed the club for (BK) 1998 to 2016 and (FM/BK) 2016 onwards. Quick question to you which requires a really simple yes or no question …..do you know BK directly or do you have indirect links with him?
