I actually feel really sorry for the guy. He has been at the club for 2 days and has been completely thrown under the bus by those running the club. Even at their most skint Burnley supported him more than this. I’d be 100% behind them if he put them right in the brown stuff and offered his resignation.

I mean honestly it won't/shouldn't - we knew what we were getting with him, and even then he got massively shafted by the board as well.

We will at least see effort, which is more than previously, and has won games as well like

Bar the West Ham game, I don't really see this as being true.

We'll see a different level of organisation and discipline but the players were trying under Lampard. They're just not very good footballers.

I think if anyone thinks that Sean Dyche wasn't fully aware of the situation is mistaken.

He will have been told from the start. No money. Maybe a couple of loans in. But other than that you go with what you have.

He's no fool.

We need to get behind the team from the whistle on Saturday.

Does anyone know how keen Dyche is on blooding youth?

I ask because clearly it’s our only route to freshening the side now.

My assumption - though I confess it’s a lazy one because I’ve never paid much attention to his career - is that he’s more of a fan of experience.

Don't think that's the case. He was willing to take over the under 23s. He felt the squad needed more players to suit his style that we couldn't get in.

And there was money to spend. Not much but enough to get deals in and we failed because of the type of players we went for and poor planning.

I mean the man’s master plan was the let the club go down anyway while he built up the U21s for 6 months
