There’s been nothing wrong with the “style” of football under Dyche. I think we’ve played some decent stuff at times, and should definitely have scored more goals from the chances created. Mad what a bit of organisation and workrate can do to a side.
“Style” can get in the bin atm anyway - first and foremost I want an Everton team and players to work hard, battle for every ball, get stuck in and scrap to earn the right to play, and we’ve been exactly like that under Dyche so far.
A bit more luck in the derby and that’s a completely different match.
The basis of all our (and most other) successful teams is effort, work rate, desire and a complete unwillingness to accept defeat, sprinkled with a few magical talented skilful players - Howard’s Everton, Big Joes Everton, untied under Ferguson, Wengers arsenal and peps city have been or are based on that. City are probably the hardest working team in the league.
I hope Dyche can keep us going, picking up the points and keep us up, as I would like to see what he can do with a little more money for some better players.
Hope the players give him that opportunity.
