Are we playing better than under Lampard? Undoubtedly. Do I have more hope under Dyche than Lampard? Certainly. Will it be enough to survive? Errrm...

A few individual errors have really caused us pain, and you can't really prepare or account for them. Our inability to be clinical up top probably does add pressure.


I'd even consider having Gray and Maupay up front, if Simms isn't the answer. Either way, the lone ranger approach simply isn't going to be enough.

When have we been set up for a nil nil?
We attacked quicker and more directly than Arsenal did midweek in the first half, we’re just absolute crap at attacking. There was even a moment we broke 4 on 2 and didn’t manage to even have a shot.

We have looked to attack in every game, we just don’t have any quality up top.

He won’t and hasn’t in any game, he’s set us up to try and score to win, except we can’t score because we have diabolical options

Be great to see us have a plan if the worst happens and we lose a goal early on, but in Dyche's defence I don't think there's anything he can actually do at that point.

I don’t disagree we need to do something other than Maupay up top on his own. I think I’m right in saying we’ve started 3/5 Dyche games that way and clearly it doesn’t work.
To say Dyche has been sitting back for nil nils is wrong though… hopefully he’s found a better option

Simms up top looked far better in his cameo against Leeds and he should’ve had an assist if Doucoure was a footballer. Forest are confident at home and will come at us so there will be gaps, anfield away was too much for the lad but this could work.

Needs to find a way to help defensively, that’s why Iwobi and McNeil have been starting ahead of him
