It's real ugly, for large parts, but it's effective so far. Did the same with Burnley and they ended up in Europe.
It’s been ugly when that’s what has been required, but we’ve offered far more threat going forwards than we did under Lampard. Creating chances and look more dangerous even without a functioning centre forward. 6 more shots on target today. The first half today was far from ugly- good and effective pressing high up the pitch. The second half needed to be ugly. We dug in and got over the line. I’ll happily take that between now and May if it keeps us up.

The players lack quality, the squad is very unbalanced and we are crying out for a centre forward, it was the same for Lampard. The difference is Dyche is not asking our team of ordinary players to do anything they are not comfortable with. He has looked at the players he has to work with and come up with a system with which he can get a few points on the board, whereas Lampard continued to try to get this squad to play styles of football they are just not good enough to play.

It may not be pretty, in fact, let's be honest, it definitely isn't pretty, but, if he does as well in the next 7 games as he has in his first 7 games, we will be pretty much safe with 4 or 5 games left to play. It can still go either way, but, I think we have at least an even chance of surviving. I did not dream that this would be the case when Dyche came in.

"could", "should", "would", "if".

Every team in the bottom half (if not the whole league) will be saying the same and finding instances to "prove" their point, especially two thirds in.

Better than Lampard yes, but it would be next-to-impossible for anyone to do worse. Positive signs, sure. But "ifs and maybes" mean nothing. We could easily be flying that flag all the way to the Championship if we suddenly start thinking we're anything special.

I dont think we're anything special.
But I'm not wrong am I.
All our metrics must be improving and what I see on the pitch is light years ahead of what we had under Lampard and Benitez.

We actually have what appears to be plans in place both offensively and defensively.

I appreciate its ifs, but and maybes but I bet most clubs from Palace down wish they had Dyche in charge.

I just don't get this shout re it's not pretty.

Its effective and we are creating a decent amount of opportunities.

Its absolute years ahead of what we had under previous managers.

Yeah agreed, I believed we were odds on relegated after the Wolves, Southampton, West Ham results. Now as you say, another 10 points from the next 7 games and we’re on 35 which would’ve seen us one point or a better goal difference off safety last year and with 4 games to get said point.

Dont care about pretty, one nil forever more for me, long may it continue, want to be known at the very least to be hard to beat and not the push over we were under Lampard, proper shocking he could not assess the squad and adapt a style that could have something about them.

Walker Benitez Lampard not sure who was worse.

Going to be interesting how Dyche project develops if he indeed keeps us up which we have every chance now.
