2022/23 Sean Dyche

Dyche will inevitably get get criticism for today’s setup because it was poor, regardless of who we had available. We never looked as if we could win.

Yet, the vultures are already circling due to today’s result; right now, we need unity not more division.
It was the manner and reasons behind the defeat that has squeezed all the hope out of many. That was soul destroying today and has took many of us to the edge. Any hope or confidence we had of staying up took a serious massive hit today and made most of us feel hopeless and flat

Everything I have said on the issue has been proved true

terrible manager, and we are getting relegated

Fortunately, people are now beginning to see it. But is too late now im afraid.

He doesn't know how to set up without a physical presence in the final third, and his loyalty to the Burnley Brothers is costing us unnecessary goals when Mina is fit.

Don't think any manager could've come at that time, we no money, and made it work IMO

I agree with this, we didn't have many choices to be fair and he's been given 5 months to fix a year and a half of poor squad planning.

Can't bring myself to blame him too much though given the circumstances. I guess we'll just see how it goes from here but it's really not looking great.
I don't blame him too much but there's things that no one can/should be able to reasonably put down to others, be it players or board or whatever. He's made choices when there have been alternatives, and made changes to the way we play when we were playing well for no reason. That's on him.

Recruitment, injuries, our predicament might not fully be, but those things are entirely on him imho.

4-4-2 is not the problem, even Manchester City use this formation. The problem is the quality.
The problem is the application of the 4-4-2, not the oldest tactical setup in football.

We setup a high line with 2 tugboats at the back and no full backs overlapping, no overloading anywhere, neither forward being an actual forward and playing a long ball while leaving ourselves open at the back.

Didnt watch today.

Didnt have to after seeing the line up.

Why has he changed things the last 2 games?
Massive question isn’t it. Even bigger one, why did he keep it the same this week after last week’s crumble job? What is Godfrey doing at right back? Gray and Maupay upfront.

Said before the game, team looked all wrong, square pegs round holes and out of form players getting a game. If we win, you say good management, knows what he’s doing. If it doesn’t and it turns out the it looked it would to every laymen before the game, that has to be on the manager and the bad decisions he made.

Lampard the same man who approved the signing of Maupay, the worst manager in Everton's history, who has lost 3 out of 3 games with Chelsea. Okay, totally rational.

Do you know how ridiculous this sounds lol

Its not like he took over from Kendall or Royle or Moyes.

Let's not play that game . We were sinking without a trace under Lampard. The only problem was we didn't get rid of him sooner.

Again, give him a goalscorer and its a different team

Think be believes the players have a better mentality, have increased their shots and attacking stats, and probably encouraged them to play more open.

In those last few games we've had spells of being the dominant side and playing well.

But that's the issue. They can only do it in spells and will zero striker or killer instinct it's gonna fail.

Honestly needs to go back to low block park the bus football

Exactly. No idea why hes tried to change things from losing one or two midfielders.

Keep the same setup ffs
