I think we have a new manager within 24hours.

Not the whole club announcement or nothing, but at the very least all the right people saying the same name.

As I say, its a coin flip for me currently.

I dont even have a preference, I can see plusses for both, but so many minuses.
I think there could be signals from elsewhere that suggest we’re going one way or the other before we know for sure - especially if we’re leaning Bielsa.

Worth keeping an eye out for any fresh player links that crop up in the next 24 hours.

Both are massive gambles for me, yes, I know, we arent cut adrift, but losing is a habit and these players are hooked on it.

Nothing a "bright new manager" bounce and a couple of fresh eager faces cant solve, but im very concerned David.
It's all confidence with that lot. I'm not saying they'll go and win handfuls of games in the next few months, but I expect a new manager bounce of sorts IF they also get a striker or two in. If they get out of the bottom three they'll stay out of it, IMO.

True baptism of fire coming up tho.

2 historically very, very tough games.

I'm expecting f.a. from those two fixtures.

I've factored them out and believe we can look at the 16 games after that for enough points.

If we got a point even from Arsenal or Liverpool it would be a boost.

Get Dyche in and we can guts this out and win ugly enough times to survive.

Personally I wouldn't touch Bielsa right now with a barge pole.

Ive got quite a horrific feeling regarding both.

But honestly, we could appoint prime SAF and I would still be worried till we picked up a win or 2.

I think it will be the big man as Bielsa wants a fair bit of coin (reports suggest around £12m) unless Davide makes a late run, seems he fancies a crack at it if reports are to be believed.

We have to see where we are in the table after the next two fixtures:

S'ton away to Brentford and home to Wolves
B'mouth away to Brighton and home to Newcastle
Wolves home to Liverpool and away to S'ton
Leeds away to Forest and home to and away to United
Leicester away to Villa and home to Spurs

From that...

I see us getting 0 points
S'ton getting 1/3 points
B'mouth getting 0 points
Wolves getting 1/3 points
Leeds getting 0/3 points
Leicester getting 0/3 points

In other words: all things going to form, we'll still be in touch.

Are you his agent or something? Brownhill is okay, not quality. Defour was okay for Liege he wasn't at Burnley. And Westwood really isn't a very good player. McNeil is genuinely one of the worst footballers I have ever seen. Even Dyche benched him.

You can say my 'mates down the pub' all you like but I have had the misfortune of watching Burnley on many occasions. A couple of times live and often on television and they were horrible to watch. None of those players are quality. They would not have spent so long at dross like Burnley if they were. The way you rate them makes me think you must be a big fan of the extremely poor players that litter our squad.
'Dross like Burnley' lol. If we played you tomorrow we would embarrass you. You need to wake up and smell the coffee and realise where Everton have fallen too and that is why you need to get Dyche in. He had to play the way he did with us because of the players at his disposal. He created a team of players who fought for the badge. That's what Everton need, a team who realise what the shirt means to your loyal fans. He will sort out the bad apples in the dressing room. His last 2 seasons at Burnley he had very little to spend and with an ageing squad the inevitable happened but I am sure he will get you back to where you should be given the chance. See you next season.

Sadly your right, we are dross right now and our players compared to yours are just expensive dross.
Still though

If another relegation threatened club got Dyche in I'd be thinking "FFS. They'll be ok now".

This feller might be our last chance saloon. Let's hope Moshiri doesn't get his way and hand over the job to a man who doesn't remotely fit the bill for this stage of the season and the predicament we're in.
