That’s mental.
The classic don’t you wish we were mid table now. Or we were better with no money.

Doesn’t matter if we’re finishing 6th with Moyes or 11th With Martinez or 16th with Frank. The club should always be striving for better.

Can’t remember the exact Southall quote, but something about when you treat 7th as success this is what happens
This is it exactly.

If we go down, he’s gone 100% he’s already
Lost a lot of the fan base that wanted him, well were happy him getting it. More of the same regarding, selection, tactics, subs, he will be done. There will be no fans in the ground v Bournemouth.

I said when he got the job, he’d be gone in 12months. Fans ain’t buying his tactics and his favourites and happy to sit back at home and get dominated, by teams like Fulham. Even the Brentford win 2nd half they had over 80% possession, embarrassing. His style added to limited funds, ends one way.

Add in he wasn’t the owners choice or DOF
Agreed. If we do go down we should get Bielsa and start again with the kids.

I sort of wish we were midtable now though and better but with less money mate, do you?

Whole things just a mess mate.
Well yes we’d all pray for mid table right now, but again in the summer we’d want better. And I wanted us to get money after so many years of robbing Peter to pay Paul.

But we’ve just not spent it wisely enough

Agreed man, it’s just pantomime. Why is everyone getting dead angry over it like it’s life and death then?
It is an artifice but it reflects the value we each place in it.
Its a passion for many that has an almost religious quality , a totem in their lives , a beacon around which they gather with friends and family to share their experience , they may not own the structure but the soul is theirs and theirs alone.
Success brings a euphoria that is paid for by the pain of despair.
Perhaps it’s necessary for many that we give import to something in our lives that isn’t just paying bills , worrying about mortgages, something we share with our forbears, and our descendants, something that appears timeless and storied.
What we desire most from it is perhaps not trophies but hope and aspiration , something that can momentarily lift our souls to the heavens for a fleeting moment , before we return to our daily lives.
All this plus beer and laughs?
Whats not to love?

3 wins in 13 games.
That not the improvement required at all. I’m surprised it’s that good, feels much worse, just because we don’t seem to have any plan. The initial plan was just “hard yards” and “make things change yourself, don’t just wait for things to change”. When that faltered, which it always does in the absence of a coherent footballing plan, not sure what plan B was.

I was really pleased we got him, and still pity him for the gash he has to work with. But if the crowd’s new lease of life with a new manager hadn’t help the team beat Arsenal, I’ve no idea what Dyche would actually have left to talk about, and we’d already be pretty much down too.

"Journalist" Paul Brown

On the situation, Brown said: "I don't see why Everton would get rid of him. He's done a fairly good job.

"Their form has massively improved since he came in and I don't think many people would really blame him if Everton were to go down. I think the fault lies with other parties this season.”

What an absolute idiot.

Big big selection issues for this fella tomorrow. He cant play Godfrey again surely. He's almost a guarentee concede through an error. And the other is keane. You're not a Burnley anymore. Needs to bring in either Coady or Mina.
